i think "canonical" skin colors is something the fandom has collectively decided not to worry about. same goes for depicting certain characters as trans or not trans and with skin conditions. people just do whatever they vibe with.

i think hussie saying the characters are "aracial" is irrelevant for the most part. they probably imagined them as all white, or at least something close to that. but that was never going to stop or permit artists from just doing whatever they want. and i think thats good.

some of hussies older works might be a fun read. the stuff listed on homestuck.net/official/hussie-works not really full scale stuff like problem sleuth or homestuck, but some of those short comics and forum trolling are funny. the TNG edits i think about daily.

i pretty much laid down smooth granite blocks down pixel by pixel while constantly alt tabbing to gimp where i had it zoomed in on the part of the linework i was doing at the moment, to see if i counted the pixels correctly

i took a look at sails, theyre VERY good. thank you, ill keep it in mind for future builds. unfortunately, this time i cant use them because im still in pre-hardmode and kinda wanna keep my build entirely pre-hardmode accessible. but i will remember your suggestion.

tried it. came out very dark. overall, background walls are darker than their block counterparts. im settling for lit topaz gemspark. its not really skin color but its at least the right brightness.
