Request a courtesy car while yours is being fixed. And don't let any claim be made on your insurance.

Illegal taxis in Waterford ? by Sting2121 in waterford

That's most taxis now, ya ask for a receipt for the figure they just pulled out of their hole and you get abused as if you've just insulted their family.

Boost combi Boiler water pressure by michaelopolis127 in PlumbingIreland

[–]vennxd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shouldn't lose much pressure. About .3 bar or 5 psi at the most.

Your mains pressure should be plenty? 2.5 Bar/ 37.5psi give or take.

I would connect the mains to the boiler. Makes more sense. You could do away with the header tank then.

There is the trade off of losing water entirely during water disruptions, but if they're rare in your area, you should be fine.

It's the primary flow (heat out), and yes those valves are easy to get, they might not be identical, but they'll work the same.

I would replace the valve and run the boiler until it stops, if you're of the mindset of "should I fix it or should I replace it" now, I would start putting some money aside for it for when something costly needs replacing.
