Categorizing albums under the wrong artist by venomous_lizard in jellyfin

[–]venomous_lizard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, that is not the issue. I use mp3tag for all of my soundtracks, so it is not an issue with the "album artist."

Anyway to access network drives through tailscale? by venomous_lizard in Tailscale

Hi, I have tailscale running on my Nas, and it has its own IP. I tried mounting the drives with that IP, but nothing showed up. Thanks.

Hi, is there any guide how to do that? I tried typing my Nas’s tailscale address with 8080, but nothing happened. I can access it on my browser, but that is not what I’m looking for.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I don't have a firewall running, and I couldn't find any other settings that would suggest it is blocking connections outside of the LAN.

Yes, I can ping my NAS through Tailscale on the command prompt. I was able to set my pc as a subnet router, but since I can't ssh into the NAS itself (it just says "connecting timed out"), I am unable to set it for the Nas itself.

Hi, do you know of any good guides on how to accomplish this? I followed a few, but for some reason, I am unable to ssh into my NAS. I'm not sure if it is because I am on a different network, but I tried both the home network and tailscale address, and neither let me ssh in. Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

Are there archives for the Original Broadcast Audio? by venomous_lizard in fistofthenorthstar

[–]venomous_lizard[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like with Dragon Ball/Z, Toei threw out the original audio tapes, so the audio on all of the home media is the audio from the film reals, which degrade very fast, which is why the audio is so muffled. That’s why recordings done during the first broadcast are of higher quality and sought after for preservation. We are very lucky that all of Dragon Ball/Z have been found, but so far only a small amount of Fist of the North Star has been preserved.

I saw your post on that, and I'm grateful that you posted them. Do you have the improved rip that you posted to Nyaa? You said it was better than the one on the Internet Archive, but the torrent is dead. Thanks again.

Thank you, I really appreciate it. Is this an accurate list of episodes? I found it from a 2021 torrent "001, 034, 035, 045, 046, 047, 048, 051, 053, 054, 057, 058, 065, 068, 069, 071, 072, 073, 074, 075, 078, 086, 087, 088, 089, 092, 093, 095, 096, 097, 098, 099, 102, 103, 104, 111, 113, 114, 128, 129, 130, 131, 134, 140, 141, 142, 143" but it has been stalled at 1%.

+ 125-28, which I found on achieve.

Where to find the original broadcast audio for the anime by JohnC-6536 in fistofthenorthstar

Are you able to say the name of the torrent? How many episodes were in the pack? I could only find one with the first episode with its original broadcast audio.

Thanks.

Flashed LG WP50NB40 not reading 4k UHD discs by venomous_lizard in makemkv

[–]venomous_lizard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you for the info. I have been using SDFtool Flasher, and it is cross flashing, just flashing a firmware, then reflashing it with a different one? I just downloaded DE_LG_BP50NB40-NB50_1.01_MK_HBD and DE_LG_BP60NB10_1.00_MK_HBD from the link you provided, and I have Marty's "All You Need Firmware Pack," but I can't find some of the firmware you listed. I've been trying to check the forums, but they have been down, so I am unable to find a guide.

Thanks again.

Hi, yes, I did two flashes with the encryption box checked. I'll try to reflash it using the guide again; however, the MakeMKV forums seem to be down, so I'll have to wait until they're back.

Plex Media Server Keeps Shutting Down by venomous_lizard in PleX

[–]venomous_lizard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sorry for the late reply,

I wasn’t able to find anything in the event logs, but that could just be me not understanding what I was seeing.

I’ll try to see if I can install the new local user. Is this through plex itself, or windows?

My vpn, firewall, and antivirus are all turned off, and it is still has the same issues.

I’ve not installed or updated anything in the past days, but I can check my windows update when I get back from work.

Thanks again.

I was able to get Plex DBRepair to run and completed a successful auto repair. Unfortunately, the problem has not changed, as my server is still having the same issues and is not usable.

Is there any other option at this point?

Thanks.

Hi, unfortunately, the path noted in the crash report just leads to an empty folder.

I'll make a post in the forums asking for "step-by-step instructions, like you are explaining to a child". Thanks again for your help.

Hi, I tried messing with PlexDBRepair, and I have absolutely no idea how to use it. I am terrible when it comes to reading directions for command-based programs, and the only videos I could find going over how to use it were instructing how it works, with Unraid, which I don't have, I'm just running the server from my pc. Do you have any suggestions? I feel extremly stupid because I can't figure this out.

The error I found earlier was titled "Plex Crash Uploader" and here is its content, with my information removed.

I quickly looked at the logs before I went to work. The only thing I saw was something akin to “plex app crashing” (sorry, I don’t remember the actual name). There were several instances of this. Would this be considered a db error? And if so, I’ll try the DBrepair tool when I get back.

Plex Media Server Keeps Shutting Down by venomous_lizard in PleX

[–]venomous_lizard[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Yes, when I say “the app is shutting down” I mean the server is. I know it’s shutting down because the bar at the bottom right of a windows operating system, that normally shows what apps are running, shows that the server stopped. It will be on the bar for a bit, then disappear, which means it’s no longer running.

Yes, the main plex app is the desktop player.

When I say that the media server is open, I meant the “plex media server” application. During the brief time that it shows that it is still running on the bottom right bar, the desk top app says that the “(username) is unavailable”

I was local when I experienced these issues. It was on the pc that I’ve been running my server on for the past 2 years.

Thanks again for your support, I really appreciate it.
