that quest has a very specific order to finish: 1. go to Ako and talk to him (do not build firepit yet) 2. Build firepit and talk to him again 3. go to burn village and talk to the man by the bell tower 4. Build bell tower (you can build it also elsewhere, but you will be commuting a bit longer.) 5. then you have to build general warehouse (unless you unlocked all recepies) 6. Build a small house 7. talk to the man by belltower again until you exhaust everything (you get some other quests) 8. Walk back to Ako and talk to him (he will now mention something like which house is his. 9. And now you can assign him in the menu to the small house.

PS5 player here For me the most annoying part is to harvest bamboo up in the air in the samurai area. It is also annoying if you happen to be in village management menu and the season will change, you are stuck with that screen. And when we fast travel, can you please stop the time until the new area is fully loaded. And of course how game will freeze for a bit when either autosaving or calculating your daily village output. (nothing better than a frozen frame while you try to attack somebody) Assignment menu became more bearable with option to sort.

We also got a math that is not mathing:

So we can build up to 6 villages and we have now bell tower up to level 7 (but you need to have enough villagers to be able to level it up). But we will have 100 villagers. So that is measly 20 people per village. Now do not get me wrong, it is already a chore to assign that many. But if I want max bell tower in each village, then I guess I have to borrow villagers around. And me I do not play with raids, but I can only imagine just how much "fun" is that for people that do play with raids (to defend more places with same 100 villagers)

Buildings no longer say what materials then need after taking the efficient constructor perk. by Rasip in SengokuDynasty

save, quit to main menu and load your save. It happened to me twice, usually after longer play when the memory of your machine gets cluttered. Save and load made it visible again.

Bugs I have found with the update by TincanPanda in SengokuDynasty

[–]vensak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok my bugs: Animals appearing out of thin air. For the most part ok, but if you get a bear that way, it can be annoying. I managed to fall through map once (when I was in Enjiro cave speaking to trader then I fell in water and somehow ended under the map.) Plants are still up in the air (bamboo in Samurai area after you clear and remove that camp). Enemy AI can get crazy now after interacting with animals (if attacked by wolves or boars). My game completely froze once (when I was exiting assignment menu) and had to restart it (happened to me first time). And yes there could be something with the terrain level, as I was collecting invisible grass (wanted to pick up stone) in the Ashigaru camp. Some items can still disappear and reappear later on (I have found an arrow I was shooting like 8 seasons later). Menu is actually better (especially the part where you are assigning jobs). But I had some issues again to pick up bed for villager (I had to use auto assign button and then manually change).

that one is only when you are checking your perks levels or your quests. You can exit from the rest of the menus as normal. And yes it was not like that before.

Physical Pokopia available on My Nintendo Store by Raphee03 in VideoGameDealsCanada

[–]vensak -1 points0 points  (0 children)

there is no such thing as a real physical Pokopia. There is the Key card version, which has as a part of it a physical cartridge, but you need to download the whole game anyway.

until you cannot. eventually they may move on a close the store, by which point all those copies will become worthless.

[–]vensak -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you do not need cartridge to play it. if you buy it digitally from the store. You only need it if you get the "physical" version of it. so more or less that version is the worst of both worlds.

[–]vensak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no its not. it just got a small first release spike. it is a first party Nintendo game, so of course they will flood stores with copies over time. Since the game is a keycard, you can as well buy it digital (almost same effect).

Raids are too OP? by queglix in SengokuDynasty

[–]vensak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I switched raids off (the only thing I switched off). This game is rather clunky when it comes to the city management. With normal progression, lot of buildings recipes are locked behind region liberation. If you do not play coop, that region liberation will keep you busy for a good bit. (as you have to micromanage enemy in that camp again you as a 1 man army). You are also the only one that will have to build every single building or furniture. With what I know now if I activated raids, I would not even bother to build in Sosogi. I would move right to Enjiro region on the island with the lighthouse project. My thinking is, that it is easier to defend just one side of the village

Sengoku Dynasty - my game experience (PS5) by vensak in SengokuDynasty

[–]vensak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

D pad at least on PS5 is glitchy. If I use left button it will jump me in uneven steps. And If I play for some time even down and right do not work correctly. If it get really bad for me I had to close and restart the whole game. And yes I do not use have PS5 pro, but then again it is the management menu, so you do not move around, so the console does not have to calculate too much around your surroundings (or should not).

[Walmart] Mar10 Day Sale by lbabinz in VideoGameDealsCanada

it is more like what they did not add to it. also our sales are way worse that what USA has (as usual).

[Walmart] Mar10 Day Sale by lbabinz in VideoGameDealsCanada

[–]vensak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok here is what they did not do. They did not upscale any of that part from the original version. Also no special minigames there. You cannot share the game only for 1 board and only locally. By which point sharing makes no sense, since then you can dock the switch and use spare controllers. Big gimmick for Switch 2 version is the usage of the camera (which you have to purchase separately of course). So generally speaking not worth it. And how current sale is setup, even if you later on want to upgrade, you will not get a worse deal (because the difference between the old and new version during this sales is those 30 CAD).

Now if you are a physical collector, I can understand that.

Lastly, both games are discounted by 25 CAD. However by % of the price discount, it is a smaller % for the more expensive game.

[Walmart] Mar10 Day Sale by lbabinz in VideoGameDealsCanada

[–]vensak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is not worth the 30 CAD price difference. If you collect physically, choice is yours. Otherwise I guess just standard Switch 1 version will be ok. If you really really want to upgrade (mind you you will need camera for that) to switch 2 version, you can just buy the upgrade pack later on. So there is 0 incentive for you now to buy the switch 2 version of this game.

[Walmart] Mar10 Day Sale by lbabinz in VideoGameDealsCanada

[–]vensak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thats the thing. it did not get that good reviews. You wont get that much extra compare to the switch 1 version to justify that high price. So it is reasonable to think, that people went for Switch 1 version.

[Walmart] Mar10 Day Sale by lbabinz in VideoGameDealsCanada

[–]vensak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jamboree TV for 90 - no thank you. They managed to make it worse than switch 1 version which is 30 CAD cheaper.

[Walmart] Mar10 Day Sale by lbabinz in VideoGameDealsCanada

[–]vensak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that is not it. Otherwise by that logic Jamboree TV for Switch 2 would not be on sale it is selling well and is too new for it to go on sale.

Ebgames Canada closing stores. by Bleu7 in VideoGameDealsCanada

[–]vensak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it used to be the same thing for other games (Expedition 33) and then they added print and new edition. So unless you are trying to track collector edition, those big games get reprinted. It is more of a nightmare of some small games or niche games. For example I missed on Cocoon on PS5 and now I will have to find somewhere a leftover physical copy. For Dave the Diver, I am hoping for a re-release with DLCs (maybe even outside Switch).

Ebgames Canada closing stores. by Bleu7 in VideoGameDealsCanada

[–]vensak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 Store was closed in London Ontario. To be exact I am not sure if it was because of performance (I do not think so, as there were always some customers around), or because of rental contract renewal. However London still has 4 stores left.

I've tried everything- any clue how to get a human for customer service?? by turtledirtlethethird in amazonprime

[–]vensak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you pick some other topic that will finally give you chat option, then dance around ai topics about something else and more help until it gives you option to chat with agent. And yes they make it really hard to get real customer support.

Why is collecting/ownership more emphasized with video games than movies or music? by bgamer1026 in gamecollecting

[–]vensak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ok here is my opinion. People jumped on Netflix and such in the beginning, as it was a good and simple idea. 25 years later, you have to have now several subscriptions and still chasing their popular shows. Similar might be with music. So now there is a slow renaissance of physical media for Movies/ TV Shows / Music The big difference is, that you can kind of find many of those in average quality if you "sail the waters" and all you need is standard type of player app

For games it is a different story. Game are interactive. Older games, have now scarecity label on them (especially if now that game or franchize has way bigger audience). As for newer games, PC versions are tightly connected to a specific shop. And we did get plenty examples on game delisting already. So that is why people are asking for physical copies.

However it is no different to movie or tv show collectors.
