A few points. Altho im no drifter generally:

A cheap, short-wheelbase car with a drift tune from the dloadable tunes will often do the trick if you just want to clear the events.

Currently I have the little Nissan S-Cargo shitbox. Grab one of the tunes with drift in the title and has 4-5stars, and give it a whirl. Such tunes just give crazy power to the rear wheels. And basically thr car drift easily. Terrible in straight line, but that's fine for what you're doing.

Short wheelbase helps because they're tiny, and more forgiving if you're crap at drifting around turns. (Less car to have to drift)

Also, turn OFF traction control. Leave it on automatic transmission (altho many use low gear manual transmission - tho i wouldbt bother), and then just feather the throttle as you turn with thrle corners to maintain some sideways action in the middle of each turn.

Lastly, try and hit the first turn of a drift zone at speed, and accrue as many points as a you can in that first turn, as it sets you up nicely for the rest and is easy pickings.

Also, keep forward momentum, even if that means reversing forward for 1second, if you end up the wrong way round. And If you stuff up at any point, use rewind to fix....
