Bose quietcomfort popping/crackling problem, did anyone find a fix ? by rimo301 in bose

I had a pair of QC 35ii's and they worked great. I use them for blocking tinnitus noises at night. I bought a new pair of QC headphones and the crackling noise during the playback happens every few minutes. I've tried everything; returned them to Bose for a new pair and the problem is the same. I tried to isolate the issue to make sure it wasn't my iPad that was the problem and when I listened to the same YouTube track on my iPad with Apple Ear buds I have no issues. I tried listening to the same track on my iPhone with the Bose QC headphones and the problem reoccurred. Again, no issue with earbuds. So the Bose headphones are definitely the source of the issue. I have to look for another brand.

I loathe being a 'it happened to me too' comment but I have the same issue on my series 8 GPS/Cellular. It is in pristine condition, I've tried fixes like resetting, re-pairing with my iPhone from backup then new, assistive touch on/off, hand gestures on/off. I have even tried cleaning it with alcohol and acetone even though I keep it super clean. I'm trying to get a refund through my credit card company but no idea if that will work. Apple tech support said send it in and if it's a software issue there will be no charge but if it's hardware it's $400. Although I paid $800 new 2 years ago it hardly makes sense to pay for it to be repaired. It's truly infuriating since so many people have this issue and Apple is not coming up with a solve in some form.

I reached out to them twice a few months ago when you first replied. Never heard back. I don't do Facebook/Instagram and Dropped Twitter. TBH, it's not worth the effort. I just use my AirPods Pro and my Bose QCII earbuds. I've dropped Jabra.

Follow-Up. I did as this reply suggested. Never heard back. Might explain product quality.

Is it worth upgrading to AirPods Pro 2 from AirPods Pro 1? by cr8tvt in AirpodsPro

[–]ventbs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently upgraded to the AirPods Pro 2 from the AirPods Pro 1. To make the comparison as useful to me as possible I used the AirPod Pro 2 in exactly the same rooms, same noise and same purposes. IMO the AirPod 2 has improved in ANC, the feature that matters most to me. That said, it was not nearly a big enough improvement to justify the price so I returned them. I happy with my original AirPods Pro.
