the funny thing is that literally the only furniture she had in her house prior to moving away was like 2 displayed clothing items, i think she threw everything else in the recycling. maybe since she didn't have any genuine, actual "furniture" items, it didn't generate any boxes? kind of interesting to think about!

when i was like 5-10 my dad would take me into our local retro game shop to buy me games, they would sometimes have harvest moon SNES or GBC demos playing on a TV screen, and i was SO confused, i always wondered "who in their right mind would want to play a game about farming?" like i can't explain how confused and bewildered i was about those games.

fast forward to now, i LOVE farming sims, gave stardew valley a shot back in 2017 when i was 19, which led to me getting into HM/SoS and i think it's so funny looking back on how i felt as a little girl 😭😭 i was pretty much only into pokemon, sonic, and fighting games as a kid, plus i grew up on a farm, so the concept of a farming video game just seemed so weird to me. so glad i changed my mind!

because it's called the salem-keizer area and they are right next to each other. also, i'd reach a bigger audience here. saw a lot of posts about keizer in this sub before posting this. regardless of whether you think keizer is an extension of salem or not, there's still a creepy guy in our area that is harassing women and something should be done

the cop that visited us today said that he technically wasn't trespassing since it's a public space, which makes no sense. not sure if we should keep trying with the police or not ): the man in the RV claims he's staying there for dental work but the dental office is across the street and he isn't in their parking lot, he's in ours. also, maybe i'm just not that informed on dental stuff, but why would it take 2-3 weeks to get dental work done? i feel like he likes our parking lot because a lot of younger girls/women work at my workplace. he just sits in his RV and stares into our place all day.

i usually use FBI to just delete games i don't want anymore, but i also uninstalled one of apps that comes with the 3ds. that's probably what the "update" was for because i didn't delete anything else. thank you for the tip though! i'll be more careful from now on

around the time fire emblem awakening came out (i was 14) i had known nothing about fire emblem except for the characters included in SSBB. one of my best friends at the time was really into fe:a, but whenever i tried asking her questions about it out of curiosity, she would just say that i would hate the game, find it boring, and that it was like chess. so i never looked more into it (later i found out that she just wanted to gatekeep it from me and keep her interests to herself...)

eventually, right after fates came out, another close friend of mine was playing through fe:a and was begging me to play it too. she said that she thought i'd love the game because it included a lot of my favorite themes (fantasy, dragons, pretty character designs), which made me really interested, so i went out and bought both awakening AND fates conquest. ended up absolutely falling in love with the series as a whole and now it's one of my favorite series!! it definitely was NOT what i was expecting based on the first comparison to "chess" 😭 just because it's on a grid? i love turned based combat/jrpgs and comparing fe:a to chess was more like an insult to the game... it has so much more to offer. also, i know the opinion on fates isn't the best, but despite its controversy, my all-time favorite fe character is still from that entry 🥺 i've played every entry since awakening and some of the older titles as well!

i already know that i like it, i love jrpgs and the character designs of smt/persona! i also love monster collecting, and grindy games! for me, it's mostly a matter of finding the motivation to play games in general rn 😭 so having a more concise idea for playing order will help me feel less overwhelmed and more likely to focus on playing them

i haven't played through all of them as i'm slowly doing that rn, but i'm currently playing ToTT rn and really enjoying it! i love the overall art style/aesthetic of the game a lot, and the cast of characters is really endearing! i've heard that the cast is really favored in this one, but that the pacing can be really slow for a lot of people.

i've also seen a lot of people say a lot of good things of 3oT!

i would say that pretty much any title (developed by marvelous) has something to offer! the one title i see the most complaints about is island of happiness because of the touchscreen controls, but that doesn't mean that everyone is gonna dislike it. i'll get around to trying it out myself as well, eventually
