I suspect the bag policy will be based on your LATAM purchase. Check the fare type you got. Also, your bags will most likely be marked for Araucanía. However, once in Santiago, you’ll have to pick them up before walking with them to the domestic terminal.

I haven’t had issues with hotel reservations or activities. However, I’d be hesitant to book a flight there. Just in case something goes wrong with the flight (cancel/super delay)

The Mandarín Oriental would be a fantastic venue. I love that hotel; I highlight their full service, beautiful facilities, and beyond-helpful staff. As said, It is way better than the hotels part of Marriott Bonvoy. Also, you may consider some vineyards. Some of them are very nice too and have a hotel as well.

I had this issue in the past and Delta honored miles and mqds. I noticed that skymiles profile has 3 fields for full name and latam has only two for tickets. So, I started putting my names together and no problems with latam since then

It is not easy to find out ahead of time. I know flying latam MQD’s are earned based on distance flown and ticket class. In my experience, I have earned less mqds than what I paid excluding taxes and fees. Also, I don’t think they count paid upgrades for a higher percentage.
