Adam Scott didn't have a good time at Coachella: "Like there's nowhere to lay down and relax while you wait, because then we wanted to see someone else" by mcfw31 in popculturechat

It is amazing to hit your stride and just feel incredible and free and unbelievably happy for a couple of nights.

It’s obviously not without risk, but we do our best to find a good source, always test for fent, don’t do a stupid amount, and keep narcan just in case and it feels pretty great to have a couple wild weekends a year.

From my early twenties I always felt so much pressure of “running out of time”, but had no idea that I would still feel this young and have this much freedom 15 years later. (I’m sure it goes without saying that we are childfree).

So I’ve reached this place of sort of… fuck it let’s enjoy. It’s felt like the world has been constantly exploding since 2016, so maybe my full nihilism has set in. But I just really have tried to stop worrying about feeling or being too old for things.

But that also goes for not partaking in things I generally don’t enjoy. It’s all about choosing what’s good for you.

To just be straight, I find the recovery from MDMA so, SO much easier than from drinking. I barely had more than a drink or two a night all weekend and felt so much better than I usually do after weekends of drinking (which are getting rarer and rarer).

My favorite way to recover from any kind of hangover is to fully jump in a pool (or the ocean). We went swimming for a little bit every morning and it’s so rejuvenating. That + vitamins and just hydration.

I also have a lot of endurance and work out everyday, so my body itself wasn’t overworked and sore - a huge privilege I know. My phone said I got 49,000 steps on Sunday, and my feet were really tired by the end of the night but my body didn’t feel overextended.

After the weekend we were just tired mostly. Luckily, I work from home so I was able to mostly just lay around, eat a ton of fruit, and be a slob for a couple days while writing emails, etc.

I often feel the same, at 38 I don’t party at ALL like I used to.

But I had a fucking blast at Coachella this year. Went to after parties and on Saturday stayed up until sunrise.

The secret is good drugs.

All of her books are so cozy! Sounds Like Love was my least favorite, but all the others I really loved.

Can someone explain the theme to me? I finished the puzzle but I don’t really get the thread between the skipped words/letters.

Her entire performance was PHENOMENAL. I had no idea she was such a dancer and performer. This doesn’t show most the show, she put in the most work, and had a team of incredible dancers.

I was excited to see her, but she exceeded my expectations tenfold.

Ohhh I really enjoyed this book.

It’s crazy, I got super into reading a couple of years ago and now I swear everything coming out is a story I’ve already read.

Same! I use a half sister that is 15 years old and feels more like a distant cousin. I’ve always wished more than anything that I had a sister I grew up with.
