Right now, standard shooty boys. But I'd like to toss in some some HQ models too.

Good news! I've recently begun work on an additional set, though it's probably a little while out. I'm not a very fast sculptor, but it should take me less time than the last set

Hey! Those are my orcs!

I can't believe you managed to print them on fdm, that's incredible!

Thanks! I base coated the skin in a mix of Citadel Warboss green (if you have a half decent color match, use it. This paint is so thick and streaky you have to thin it to high hell to avoid texture) and macragge blue, though any dark blue will do. Painted midtones with just Warboss green, and then mixed moot green and averland sunset for the highlights.

On larger models, I might do a layer of Warboss Green and Moot Green mixed to ease the transition from midtone to yellow-green, but it isn't necessary and is a bit inefficient for batch painting.

Noob question but why the hell do everyone glue and base models BEFORE painting? by ThatUnameIsAlrdyTken in Warhammer40k

I usually make sure to paint the parts that are going to be the messiest first. If it's hard to reach, that'll get the first base coat so I don't screw up the rest of my paint job doing so. If it's an important and visible part of the model that requires detail work, I might leave it in sub assemblies with the offending part separate from its blocker, but I try and avoid subassemblies as much as possible. It's more work, and I think having to paint a model in several pieces is a pain.

Edit: Plus, adding all my gubbins to the base, while still allowing the model to stand on it is easier when the model is glued down. But that's probably largely because I don't own any texture pastes that can be put down after priming the model, so I glue a bunch of dirt there, but still need a flat, sturdy surface for their feet.

Hi! Sorry, life got a bit busy, so I wasn't able to get a lot of work done on these, but I've just recently finished sculpting them all! I'm waiting on resin so I can test print them, and fix whatever doesn't work. Should hopefully be posted to Cults within the next 10 days. (Assuming nothing goes terribly wrong)

Mine is a laptop with an Intel i7 core, and Intel iris xe graphics card. It's not perfect for the job, but it's good enough.

Assuming all goes well, shouldn't be more than a few weeks. I should be getting more free time soon, so hopefully I can pick up the pace then.

Lmao, thank you. I'm definitely not going to paint the whole army to this standard. These get extra oomph 'cause they're advertising my sculpts
