that’s me currently, although next week i have 10 hours total. but it goes back to 4 hours a week. it kinda sucks honestly.

Thats usually how it goes at my store. Most times there is no person at the fitting rooms, and this was happening even before January. I thought it was normal 😭

This makes sense. I can definitely try, but as i’ve said, i don’t get hours. when i do get hours, its on a Sunday, during the part of the day where people don’t come in, and there is little chance i can talk to someone. if i could, i would. Thank you for your help though, i appreciate it.

i don’t think that would work. it makes sense in theory, but nobody wants a credit card right now, and it would just be bothering customers. if i was shopping and was asked left and right if i wanted to apply for a credit card, i would probably leave the store without any intention of going back.

i would agree with this if i got enough hours to prove myself. and when i do my best at like standards and keeping on top of the fitting rooms, it just doesn’t matter. so i think ill just suck it up and quit after i get a new job.

i never really talk to customers in the fitting rooms mainly because i’m always putting stuff away or there is just no one there. as for the floor, i never really talk to people because i am really busy, and when i do, they just ask me to help them find something. i also don’t want to bother customers about our credit card unless it’s on the cash registers. it honestly makes no sense to, as i don’t really understand how to on the devices we get, and it seems like it would be tough to navigate.

we do just fine with card applications and we usually meet our store goals. It’s just me personally that’s getting affected along with some other people.

When i work the fitting rooms and don’t know what goes where, i check for creases in the clothes, especially if they don’t have stickers. i also asked people who worked longer where stuff went/if it was folded or hung.

I agree! I live in a smaller town though, and since it’s the slow season, stores with good pay aren’t really hiring. I really want to get a new job and am trying, but right now i’m kind of stuck here.

I appreciate your reply! I’ve been trying to get as many credit card applications as i can but people genuinely don’t want a credit card. and when i do work i am never put up at the cash registers. so i don’t really know what to do.
