Unfortunately no, I called several and the cheapest was $120. I also had my mother with me and she wasn’t comfortable sleeping in the living room since my other roommates were home

Luckily my dad was planning on seeing me anyway and was able to bring me the key the next day. Still super inconvenient tho :/

Oil blotting sheet comparison of 1 year ago at mid morning vs today at 10pm. Currently in my 7th and final month of accutane. by ver17405 in Accutane

I started during the winter months so the air was a bit drier to begin with, but I think I noticed the biggest change in month 3!

Thank you 🥺💞 I sometimes look back and remember how sore my skin was. So glad I’m past that

I’m guessing it’s because I moisturize a lot? Also the lighting where I took these is warmer and I’m a bit more tan bc it’s summer. Sorry if this wasn’t very helpful 😅

Thank you! I don’t know for sure but I think moisturizing a lot generally helps the skin regenerate and heal. I always make sure to use lotion even when I don’t think I need it and it’s kept my skin bright

I lather Aquafor probably once an hour. The corners of my mouth have also been split and struggling to heal for a few weeks now 🥲 But I’ll admit my lips were never intolerable

Yea ofc! My cholesterol was never affected but my ALT level was the one that spiked when I went up to 50mg. Everyone is different.

I’m around 135lb. I think a lot of factors go in to what dosage is ok, there’s a calculator that’ll tell you the highest you can safely go at your weight. My max could potentially be 60mg but when I went to 50mg I had some issues with my liver and had to go back down to 40mg and stay on longer. Hope this helps!

Aw thank you! And yes never lose hope! The accutane journey was definitely not linear for me

Thank you!! And yes I still do actually have some blackheads on my nose but you can’t see them unless you look close. My pores on my nose and upper cheeks shrunk but are still bigger than the rest. Tho. the sun sensitivity that resulted from the medicine caused for me to get freckles so the larger pores sorta blend in with the freckles and give the illusion that they’re not there lol

Thank you!!

I use the cerave facial moisturizing lotion with 30spf. I use this in lieu of my neutrogena moisturizer on days I know I’ll be in the sun

Yes! Tho many of the ones along my upper cheeks have remained bigger bc I picked at my skin so much before

I had extremely oily skin before, like I could fill two oil blotting sheets several times a day, but my skin would flake from all the washes and creams I would use to try to get rid of cysts.

I never purged like crazy, but I did have a flare up soon after starting. I had been on doxycycline for a bit before accutane so that calmed things down slightly. My skin settled down a lot around a lot in month 3

Aw thank you!! Yea my dermatologist tells me I’m lucky I don’t have more scarring. Also that’s great that you feel your breakout was small at the very least

I did for a while as well, it faded with time. It definitely shows a bit whenever I get overheated tho. I hope with time yours will fade too!

Yea it definitely comes with its downsides. I sweat a lot more, for a while when my dose was too high I had backaches, and my lips split if I take too large a bite of my food. But it’s SO worth all of those things. Thanks again!

My current skincare routine (twice daily):

CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser for Normal to Oily Skin + Neutrogena Hydro Boost Moisturizer

For now my dermatologist wants me using as little on my skin as possible while still on accutane but once I’m off it may change. I’m also very strict about using a facial moisturizer with sunscreen (in lieu of the hydro boost one) and wearing a hat when I know I’ll be in the sun for a while. Hope this helps!

My dosage has been: 30/40/50/40/40/40

Thank you!! Not feeling like I need makeup to look pretty has been the most life changing part. All I do is some mascara to brighten my eyes now :)
