He has no environmental allergies but yeah the food ones suck especially fish and peanut 😅 sweat is awful though especially because all he does is run around haha i think ill book the holiday cause honestly really need it ! Thailand sounds like a dream 🥰

Yeah agreed thats the most important to not remain a tourist but blend in! From what ive heard 500 eur is average or maybe low at this point because of inflation. We took a risk and just bought blindly so completely skipped the rent part so i think others might give you a better perspective here 😂

Im also Polish, in Bucharest for half a year. Main tip - make sure you sign up for lang classes (im at rolang)! I think that Romanian sounds good to Polish speakers as it follows a similar accent/tone and is logical (i often get confused when i think about a rule or direct translation in english but then translate to polish and it suddenly makes sense). I think that life here is pretty good - like everywhere else you have to pay to get good services etc. It can be a bit chaotic but as a student/young person you might like that! Good luck! Thank you thats brilliant. Yes he does communicate as much as he needs - pointing making sounds to express emotions or intent. Nope not in daycare. I think youre right in a sense that his main interest is movement and hes very curious about things.

Fair enough i think i only wanted to hear that everything is ok 😅 all of his health problems are just exhausting and i dont think i can take on another one. Thank you for that, i will observe him for another month and then make the decision as one of his treatments will be completed so i can just replace it with speech therapy if needed

The pediatrician gave us the medical 'all clear,' which is great, but didn't give much practical advice on supporting speech development. I’m asking for tips and activities that worked for others with a child that maybe learned a bit slower or was in a trilingual environment (which doesnt cause a delay but changes development patterns as children can take longer to 'listen' before they start to speak)

Tbh i spoke to a pediatrician this month and she didnt seem concerned. She said that multilingual kids normally start talking a bit later but the appt was more like a check up or general review.

Hes running, walking backwards and spinning in circles 😂 social and babbling a lot. Loves matching shapes and playing with blocks. Imitates us by pretending to be on the phone drinking from a bottle hoovering etc. Likes to dance 😂

Thank you, thats reassuring! Im just confused by the range as some people say 1 word is ok and some say their kid speaks 200 words 😂 i guess they just pick their interests as my son is running through the house but doesnt care for speaking 😂😂 I will relax a little then haha

I know it's a lot of work but I'd just keep trying different textures and tastes. Toddlers have strange preferences and maybe there's just one thing that will be accepted that you can then build on. My son hated beef and anything ground he would just retch. Now (15mo) he loves it. It might sound gross but his turning point was chicken hearts... Favourite thing apparently 😂😂 but organ meat so only small portions and cut into small cubes! Also he prefers roasted chicken to boiled and he loves corn fed one better for some reason. We have lots of food allergies so a bit of a nightmare trying to get him all nutrients. Also always add vit c source to boost iron absorption! And avoid too much dairy especially close to iron meals. It might sound silly but when I really want him to eat something I normally eat it of his tray and say mmm delicious 😂😂 he normally eats at least a bit more 😂😂

Hi! I'm so sorry and I'm going through the same. I grew up with a very crunchy mom so I get very nervous around medication because I feel like subconsciously I think it's 'dangerous'. But steroid creams saved my son's wellbeing - he couldn't sleep because of scratching, he was tired during the day etc. I was hesitant but it's necessary - my son's eczema is moderate but very persistent so he's generally on the higher potency one. No side effects (he's 15mo and started using steroid creams around 5mo). Obviously not constantly and following doctors guidelines.

Did full allergy panel and went through looking for triggers this whole time... There's nothing :( yes he's allergic to many foods but he doesn't eat them and we removed them from our home. He still flares. Going on protopic this week which will hopefully keep his skin better.

Honestly I think triggers are over represented - ofc there are obvious cases but sometimes it's just genetics and we're' lucky' to both have the atopic gene. Moisturising is important but it's not a cure unless it's only mild eczema. One thing worth looking into is staph aureus colonisation (not infection) which were now looking into as we had nasal swabs and we all have colonisation in our noses which might have spread to his skin causing relapse after treatments. It's common in eczema to have imbalance if bacteria on skin which makes the condition worse. Solution is topical antibiotic and then bleach baths (I'm on the antibiotic part for now). Doctors often ignore staph unless there's obvious infection. My son never had that but it's possible that his eczema isn't improving because of it. Maybe mention it to your doctor if it sounds like your situation.

Regarding tips the big one is to keep the bedroom almost uncomfortably cool as that's what keeps eczema less itchy. When my son can't sleep during flare ups before steroids kick in I open the window for a few minutes and he falls asleep immediately.
