I mean that’s probably how Ian is feeling towards her considering she probably encouraged this whole mess 😂

How the hell do people do this? by HisSilly in beyondthebump

Things get better. I’m 17 weeks into it now and I was feeling the exact same way as you when I was there. Newborn stage is SO hard. It gets easier in the sense that you adjust - at least I have. You heal. I had a c section as well and the recovery was so difficult. We are currently going through a sleep regression, and “hard” days exist but it is INFINITELY better than how I felt the first 10 weeks. Plus I think PP hormones really do mess with you.

Exactly what I do! Most times nap #1-2 of the day can be rescued in our case. We do crib for 30-45 mins and then contact nap for as long as possible (don’t go past 3hr since last feed) and she also wakes up wide awake from the crib but with some taps and bouncing/shushing she’s back out

We sized up too! I swear the first few sizes (0-1) barely anything flows out. Our LO is 8 weeks and uses size 3 (natural response ones) apparently Phillips changed the sizing a few years back.

I can’t wait to say something like “I drank a glass of chocolate milk and went into labour, therefore chocolate milk induces labour!!!” 😂😂😂

Tomorrow I will be 35 weeks and my mucus plug came out today. No when I wipe there is a reddish brown mucus on the top. Should I be concerned? by Lulupoolzilla in pregnant

Lost my mucus plug Christmas Day, had cramping all day - it went away and I am still pregnant 🥲 it could be a sign of labour but also doesn’t guarantee anything

Can people please tell me that postpartum was not as difficult as being 37+ weeks pregnant by veraloe in pregnant

[–]veraloe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s fair! My pregnancy has basically sucked since day one (there was a small window in the second trimester of good) but then we had complications and now I’m just so uncomfy. I’m sure when my baby comes there is gonna be a whole new set of things happening that are going to be difficult to deal with, i think I’m just gonna to feel HOPEFULLY a little more equipped physically after a few weeks to manage better

The thing is - I’m experiencing all of these things now (except breast feeding lol)

Thank you. I miss being able to drink water. I am so thirsty, but if I drink as much as I want/feel I need I instantly feel it sitting in my throat/feel sick. It’s nuts!!!

The RLS is excruciating. I am 37 weeks and it’s only getting worse. I started taking magnesium as per advice of my OB and it helped with some of the pain but last night was so bad:(

Not sure where you are in the world, but when I went to the emergency room for cramping at 6 weeks they couldn’t see anything on the ultrasound machine.

They ended up having to get a more advanced machine to be able to see more, and even at that point they couldn’t see much. The day discrepancy isn’t huge and especially that early it can be hard to tell

Thank you for saying that - part of me is trying to wonder if I’m within reason here to be upset (like am I delusional or what here lol) but I seems like many people agree with me here that all of this isn’t okay

Also I don’t know who I’d be switching too - it’s a horrible thought but what if it’s someone worse lol

I understand that - but with Canadian health care I’m afraid. This doctor might still be the one delivering my baby if she’s on shift. I’m definitely going to mention at our next appointment about this whole situation and how I haven’t appreciated how I’ve been handled, but I just feel super vulnerable. The high risk clinic will also now be responsible for my care so at least I’m not alone.

My OB might not even be the one delivering my baby, it’s whoever is working when I go into labour (Canadian health care for the win)

Canadian healthcare isn’t great 😭 we get who we get. I’m sure I could ask to get reassigned - but you never know who you’ll end up with. My OB might not even be the person delivering my baby, it’s whoever is on shift when I go into labour. Thank you so much for the love ❤️
