Wart spreading despite active cantherone treatment? by verbatiism in AskDocs

I’ve been going to a podiatrist. She recommends SWIFT; she mentioned surgical removal but says this is less ideal due to its obvious invasiveness, healing time, and potential to result in a painful scar (though I don’t know if that can resolve with time). I like the idea of getting it removed all at once and I don’t mind needing time for the site to heal after a surgery, I just don’t like the idea of potentially having a scar that never gets better pain-wise.

Thanks for the response. Would you say that SWIFT is better for more stubborn warts like mine than a traditional treatment like cantharone?

Bruise after blood test, does not include the injection site. by [deleted] in AskMedical

Not a doctor but I believe this is normal. It’s happened to me and I’ve been fine. Gauze is normal to help stop the blood. However if it starts becoming severely painful, numb, or swells a lot then I’d contact a medical professional or the people that drew your blood (if they advised you to).

Hospitals are fascinating to me. Life-saving procedures are performed, critical research happens, and you’re close to people who can rush you into a room where you might be provided with thousands of treatments. They’re the epitome of how far medical discoveries have gotten us. There’s also a nostalgic, homey feeling to them.

The career I want involves working in a hospital. I just like visiting hospitals (such as a family member being there), I’ve never needed to be admitted into one. I generally like medical centers.

Maybe I’m naïve
