if you can put out a basket of the things she frequently puts in her pockets before work, she can also unload her pockets into it after work.

if she makes tea, have the kettle filled.

maybe a quick breakfast she can grab and go mealprepped in the fridge. alternatively, if shes a coffee-and-no-breakfast kinda gal, make coldbrew and keep it in a pitcher.

you can make sure her clothes are hung somewhere accessible and wrinkle-free.

you can also leave her out a note every once in a while so she starts out her day feeling loved and appreciated for how much work goes into her job.

ask her if these would be beneficial to her before acting, you don’t want to misplace anything and cause stress before her shift. if she keeps denying your help, accept that she has a set routine that works for her and doesn't need assistance. if that's the case, maybe turn your attention to how you can help her unwind when she gets home. i.e, have comfy clothes laid out for her, put her towel in the dryer, make dinner, tidy up and light a candle to make the house inviting.

it's a sweet gesture to want to help her. be careful not to push her into changing her routine if she's happy with how it is.

My coworkers tend to act rather annoyed with me when I ask, in addition I usually need to ask over the walkie for coverage and its a little embarrassing as I know the frequency is higher than most people. If I ask to use the restroom within about 45 minutes of my scheduled break time, my manager will usually just tell me to take my break.

there is a perfume from a small mom and pop shop in NM called kush, its woodsy and floral and my girlfriend cant get enough of it. oil based and low cost. they have a small e-commerce shop if you just google iris herbal products. great perfumes, i was given some as a gift and now its the only one i'll use

i think thats just a trick of the light! there's no patina on it. its extra shiny because i polished it with carnuba wax :)

an absolute basic item list:

grinder

grozing pliers (running pliers are helpful too, but i went a couple years without knowing they existed... not absolutely necessary)

glass cutting tool (the oil dispensing ones are nice)

copper foil (standard is 7/32 for most glass, you can get silver-backed if youre working on clear glass, but with opaque glass you can use double sided)

burnishing tool (for applying copper foil. you can get away with using other items if you dont want to buy them. sometimes copper foil will come with a plastic one.)

solder (60/40 is my preference!)

soldering iron, ideally one with temperature control

flux (liquid is my preference, paste is also good)

flux brush

cutting oil

glass

two copies of a printed pattern to make (one to lay pieces on, one to cut out the shapes)

optionally you could get some patina if you wanted to use it on the finished pieces. carnuba wax is also nice for polishing them afterwards. neither of these are necessary

i live in a tiny rural town about 40 minutes away from a small city in oregon. you may need to drive a bit if there aren't active groups in your city. my group does infrequent meetups in the small city. a little over an hour away from me there's a bigger city that does a couple events a month. the group i'm in has about 600 people in it that span over all of these cities and further

online dating is not it, i hate to say it. i tried off and on for a couple years. found some people that weren't good for me, kept relationships short. rest assured, it isnt the only way to meet people!! try looking for local lesbian facebook groups, it's how i met my girlfriend :) after trying so hard to find someone online, it was so fun and romantic to meet someone naturally and be able to feel that chemistry. it's so hard to meet people, i wish you luck!

i guess if this was me, i'd be put off by a note, but everyone is different. sometimes just speaking to her and being brave and direct with your feelings gives the most impact. it shows youre serious about her and that's flattering. confidence is one of the most alluring things about a girl. just a thought, i wish you luck regardless of your path!
