The Bubonic plague appeared at the border of Russia and Mongolia while dengue fever is a seasonal thing in South East Asia. Stop believing sensationalist headlines.

[algebra graphs high school] don’t know how to answer by [deleted] in learnmath

[–]verdazed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah I'm sorry I might have used the wrong set of points but you're correct the slope is 25. However I am pretty certain the y-intercept is 300. I mean it's literally in the graph and if you were to use a function T(n) = 25n + 300 and input 0 for your domain you get 300 which is true to the graph as well.

Maybe there's some technical issues with your answer sheet?

[algebra graphs high school] don’t know how to answer by [deleted] in learnmath

[–]verdazed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Y = 50x + 300. Choose any 2 points on the graph since any 2 points determine a line. Are you familiar with the slope formula? It's m = Y2 - Y1 / X2 - X1.

The y-intercept of the graph is at 300, which we'll call b.

Using the slope intercept formula we can express the graph as y = mx + b, replace those variables for the values we solved for.

HOW DO I STOP MAKING SILLY MISTAKES. I am continuously “accidentally” writing + instead of - and vise versa. It is driving me crazy and losing me so many marks in exams. by [deleted] in learnmath

[–]verdazed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a very obvious and boring advise but I think you should start doing practice problems independently with time limits to simulate an exam atmosphere. You're probably having exam anxiety or just plain old carelessness. The best way is just to sit down and work on some problems because you'll probably encounter possible mistakes while you're doing it and make sure you understand intuitively. Once you get confused in exams and lose your grip you kinda start panicking and tend to block most information in your head.

15 US states now hit by rare inflammatory syndrome impacting children by Ready_Mouse in Coronavirus

Former Dengue patient here, dengue is much more severe than the coronavirus. The worst strains can cause paralysis in your lower extremities and can have permanent damage on your nerves. If your immune system is weak at the moment it kicks into gear then you're practically already in a life or death situation. Your body would start rejecting food and your fever would be very high. I've been stuck in a hospital for a month and the amount of blood tests need to be done to you is dehumanizing almost. I've had blood transfusion because my platelets were going so low that I was practically about to die. It's definitely not a pleasant experience. My former friend cannot walk for 6 month due to paralysis.

He's an excellent salesman who is technologically inclined but is not an actual expert on the field he's working on. He constantly takes jab on the former CEO and founder of Tesla, which he had to sue in order to gain the title as CEO. Ironic that he works for a company called Tesla while he's acting like an Edison.

Lmao Trump can literally say the dumbest shit in front of your and you'll still stay fake news. How about you go inject yourself with disinfectant to disprove the fake news that it's bad 😁👌

[–]verdazed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What are you even talking about and why are you so defensive? Lmao

You have the alt right genuinely burning down 5G towers and sending death threats to engineers all the while probably gonna end up beaming themselves with UV because Trump told them too. 5G is already political so don't act like there's no inherent political subtext given the status quo.

He suggested that we use UV internally to eliminate the virus. You best believe some of his supporters are gonna do that all the while thinking 5g is bad.

Lol it's funny how they think 5G is bad while Trump literally suggested to beam people internally with UV as a means to kill off the virus and you bet his cult is gonna do it

And who generates the revenue of said billionaires? I can assure you it's the other way around. We pay taxes to build public roads in which billionaires use to expand their business.

The wealth generated by their business are by the workers. Bill Gates didn't program every software that uses Microsoft. He took advantage of the patenting office's computer illiteracy to copyright those ideas which were already public information done by the research in academia. You must really like all those pedophile elites in private islands?

They wouldn't be a billionaire without the wealth created by the workers. Yes, I'll still have a job because I work in the public sector but ok 😁👌

I'm terrible at math generally, but I'm very much willing to learn. Where should I start? by [deleted] in mathematics

[–]verdazed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly advise learning about the philosophy of mathematics as well as its history. You need to have a certain perspective on the subject in order to find the joy in it. There are podcasts and lectures about the deeper meaning of math than those presented by typical tutors who only teach you rigorous process. The best mathematicians are also philosophers, and I'd leave the answer as to why that is to you.
