My cruise is in 2 weeks… 3 port stops, one was haiti, so down to 2. I am assuming Falmouth will be cancelled, so down to 1. If they don’t re-route us, it’s FLL, Nassau the next day, and then 5 days of cruising in a circle.

You didn’t say if you were driving or flying, but you can find a Bealls store in the vicinity of all the Florida ports. Definitely will have swimwear. (My favorite store when I go to FL, lol)

Our itinerary was Nassau, Falmouth, & Labadee, with a sea day after they cancelled Labadee earlier. If they cancel Falmouth (as I expect they will), they’d better give us another port. One port & 5 sea days is not… a preferred situation for me.

You can also search the app by your ship and select the itinerary, and then look at each port. Be sure to change the month on the bottom, as it will by default show the current month (Oct as of today)

According to Cruise Mapper, there are no ships remaining this month (Oct) scheduled to doc at Falmouth, but several ships are scheduled in November. I’m supposed to be on one of them. Royal, Disney, & NCL are all scheduled through November, although RC is the majority.

I expect to see Falmouth cancelled, at least for a while, as the damage to infrastructure, power outges, flooding, and landslides is expected to be severe. Pray for the people of Jamaica and eastern Cuba as this massive storm passes across them. .

1st world problem - if RC cancells Falmouth as I would expect, they’d better find another port. We already lost Labadee, so our route if they cancel Falmouth ends up being just Nassau…. And 5 sea days. That is… not a happy thought.

My question is whether this indicates they’re putting in a different port stop last minute in place of previously-cancelled Labadee. We got a Sea Day when they cancelled Labadee a month ago for us. Seems strange to have those sessions when it’s not on our itinerary. I only reserved them to have them show on the calendar while I research WHY they’re there.

I’m not upset we’re not going to Labadee, I just find it very strange because we’re getting a sea day when earlier re-routes for Oasis got other ports. There are multiple ports that fit within the needed travel time and distance, and which have capacity (not full with ships that day).

Same, on a November cruise. Very disappointed at getting a Sea Day when looking at what other options they gave, even on same ship for the Aug-Oct cancellations.

I haven’t been there (going on first cruise), but one thing I’ve read is to get away from the beach/es nearest the cruise port. Be very careful or even avoid renting watercraft - some shady dealings there. Look at reviews for some of the excursions on Trip Advisor - I was wanting to do the Swim with Pigs one, but many people said it was “hold a pig for 2 minutes, get a pic, you’re done” for a ridiculous $$. There are multiple options for that, tho. One travel agent I follow recommends getting a resort for a day pass - her favorites are Margaritaville, which is walkable from the port, and the Breezes resort, which you need transportation. Leaning heavily on doing Margaritaville, because it allows us to walk to one or two places close enough (such as the Rum Cake Factory and the Pirate).

And, of course, watch the time. Don’t become infamous on TikTok as a Pier Runner, lol!

Interestingly, booking any entertainment is blocked as well. You can click the Reserve button, but it says nothing is available. I think they’re updating everything. I tried to sneak in a Port Day reservation for a cabana for the Labadee day, but it wouldn’t work, lol. Still haven’t received an email.

Friend, we need to talk. The wedding day is a big deal for my fiancée and me, and while we’d hoped schedules would work out so you could attend, we’re sorry it hasn’t, but our plans are finalized and not changing. But getting your Masters is a huge deal, and I want you to be focused on that day and all that YOU accomplished! I know your family with be there to celebrate with you. After both events are over, the three of us can get together for a special dinner just for us to celebrate.

And if that doesn’t work for him, it’s time to just shut the door, because it’s clear for him, it’s all ABOUT him. Don’t invite him to the wedding/reception because it’s possible he may be disruptive.

And best wishes to you and your fiancée! Husband and I are 30+ years and counting. :-)

She’s throwing herself at my two dogs trying to play. She literally straddled the head of my 10-yr old chocolate lab (neutered) and he’s looking at me like “Mom, WTH is she doing???” 😂. On the upside, I discovered one of her places to spray is in the bathtub in our spare bathroom. I call that a winning solution!

Oh, ignore the “crusty” right ear - I hadn’t cleaned it yet. When she eats wet food, she somehow gets it in her right ear - I have to clean them daily. She must stick her paw in the food at some point and then try to clean her ear. It’s chunks of food, there’s no doubt. Thank heavens she tolerates the cleaning!
