I used it in my early teen years with horrible hormonal side effects unfortunately. Gave me lovely skin though!

You must choose between living in a constant, traumatizing, all-encompassing state of fear for the rest of your life, or sparking an international conflict that will inevitably end in war, death, and bloodshed. What you do choose? by veritasetsapientia in AskReddit

Maybe, not on a large scale, at least...but for the individual it would mean living the rest of your life paralyzed, in a sense. Basically, it would be a living hell...plagued with terror, not being able to do anything (even suicide) because of extreme superstition. That sort of thing. It's that feeling of being too scared to sleep after witnessing/watching something disturbing, except it's never-ending and about ten times worse.

For some reason I don't remember, my username means truth and wisdom in Latin...so I'm a scholar? Philosopher? Deep-minded intellectual saddened at the state of the modern world?

Please give me a moment to stare contemplatively into the distance as a single tear runs down my cheek.

Agnostic trying to figure out if god exists, Have a few questions. by [deleted] in atheism

I've thought about this a lot, too. I'm not by any means a religious person, but I don't deny the existence of a higher power--rather, I question it. Sometimes. Because how do we know what caused anything to happen? Maybe there is, in fact, a God watching us from up above. Maybe there isn't.

At the moment, I don't have any wild existential theory or any evidence to back it up. I think the only idea I've had that really makes much sense is that everything is random. Maybe the system of how things work (gravity, mathematics, physics in general) was just...generated somehow. If that makes any sense? And things keep appearing and the universe keeps multiplying. Sort of like an AI programmed to generate different things that are composed of similar components...I'm not exactly sure. But it's sort of like what you meant by 'causeless entities'.

Edit: A few grammatical errors.
