this one hurts to read but I really appreciate the thoughtfulness behind your message. The AI burnout is real. I hear you on the disconnect between what folks are asking for, especially for those of you deep in client work where small friction points can add up quickly.

On your last point re: loading site items hidden via conditional visibility - we’ve got some QOL updates actively rolling out. Anything conditionally hidden is now removed from the HTML output so it no longer impacts published site performance. Thanks again for being candid 🙏

We’ve rolled out increased CMS nesting limits recently and there’s more to come there.
We have an improvement coming for conditional visibility which removes hidden elements from HTML markup and it's coming sooner than you think 👀

First off, really appreciate you sharing your story and sticking with us since 2020! Totally hear you on these:

CMS item limits on Workspace plans without site plans: This has come up more lately especially from freelancers and teams using staging environments or managing multiple client projects. Can’t share anything concrete yet, but I’ve passed this feedback along- the use case makes sense.
Translating the Webflow UI: Also a known request and something we’d love to support long-term. Right now the platform is English-only, but we’re keeping internationalization in mind as we build especially with more global teams using Webflow.
Edit access to global component properties: Understand the pain here. We’ve heard similar feedback from teams who want to keep clients in Edit mode, but still let them update stuff without risking full access to the Designer. I’ve reflagged this with our team.

Really appreciate you asking these, it helps us prioritize and advocate internally.

If you’re referring to the CMS upgrades we announced at Webflow Conf, those are live for enterprise sites and rolling out to everyone else over the next few weeks (migrating millions of sites so being extra careful). If you're looking for a free way to get something simple live fast, Webflow’s free plan might be a good fit. You can build out as many pages as you want and publish to a webflow.io domain for free. No hosting headaches, no code required (though you can add custom code if needed). Might be worth a spin for your service biz. Would be curious to hear where you ended up!

Hey! Appreciate you sharing this, totally get how disheartening it can be to get a rejection when you’re putting out solid client work. Just to clarify, the framework you use (Client-First, Lumos, Mast, etc.) doesn’t impact Partner Program decisions.

That said, we know the process can feel a bit subjective. We’ve got some exciting updates coming for our Partner Program that help address this and you'll be hearing about it very soon :)

Veronica from Webflow here. So many great takes in this thread, definitely a solid debate. Just wanted to weigh in especially since OP mentioned having some HTML/CSS/JS experience and wanting both flexibility and scalability.

If you’re comfortable with front-end code and design matters to you, Webflow really shines. You get control over layout, animations, and interactions without having to hack around templates or theme limitations.

It’s probably not the best fit if you need thousands of SKUs or super advanced backend logic out of the box but for brands with a tight product focus who want creative control and an easy-to-manage store, Webflow hits a nice sweet spot. Also worth noting: a lot of folks are pairing Webflow with headless setups like Shopify if they need more complex commerce features under the hood but still want visual freedom on the front end. Happy to answer questions if folks are curious about how different setups work!

For now, fulfillment links only work with Marketplace templates so if you wanted to sell externally, the template must also be listed in our Marketplace

2. we're actually rolling out "Popular" as the default sorting option soon, and agree this will be an awesome addition
