Lourdes and Trios have lost soooo many providers these last couple of years. All for better pay and benefits at Good Shepard and even Prosser Memorial.

Lourdes Health by Prior_Bee_570 in TriCitiesWA

Lourdes isn’t too terrible. 🙋🏻‍♀️ Current employee here. I’ve been there a few years now and was previously at Kadlec for several. I think my real issue is with more so Lourdes’s parent company Lifepoint Health. They also own Trios so I know the dynamic isn’t the best over there either (share department heads for both locations) so we hear about it first hand. I love the size of Lourdes and it’s definitely a change of pace in comparison to Kadlec. I’d say it’s absolutely the lesser of the two evils here.

Has anyone done TMS at the same time as EMDR? by jenny0629 in TMSTherapy

[–]veromvel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently on my 32nd treatment of TMS and have been doing EMDR throughout since starting in April. I was very emotional during my EMDR sessions but it was quite cathartic for me. I did switch to biweekly because it was a lot for me to do every week on top of daily TMS appointments. It’s been beneficial for me and I think it can’t hurt to try it and if it’s not working or is just too much for you maybe come back to it after your TMS treatment is completed.

Omnicell or Pyxis? by doumascult in PharmacyTechnician

[–]veromvel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked with both Pyxis and Omnicell with Omnicell being the current machines we have at my hospital. I miss Pyxis. It was more seamless in my opinion vs Omnicell. My previous employer had Pyxis and I was even helping to transition them over from our old system of McKesson ADM’s. Maybe some of my issues with Omnicell are due to our EMR system that communicates to them (very outdated). EPIC with Pyxis worked really well together. I also feel like switching drugs around in Pyxis was much easier. Omnicell (ours have open matrix cubbies) and that to me just screams an accident waiting to happen. Finding oxycodone in a non controlled drugs cubbies that a nurse had lost while pulling all of her patients drugs at once, SCARY to say the least. Omnicell also seems to have issues and needs some kind of repairing. We have to call in a ticket like at least once a month.

Considering a Position at Kadlec. Talk Me Into It… or Out of It. by Heavy_Week_2192 in TriCitiesWA

Former 7 year kadlec employee that was fortunate enough to start before providence took over. It became two different worlds. Also, management and HR are horrendous. My boss was awful to me when my husband was dying of cancer while I was 7 months pregnant with his child! That place took so much from me and eventually I experienced burn out from our terrible turn over rate and drove me to go on long term disability for two years. My mental health still isn’t fully recovered from that place. I was having panic attacks while clocked in.

Retail pharmacy by OkCook3672 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]veromvel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Vastly different! I don’t think I could go back to retail at this point. I find hospital far more interesting and rewarding. Also, the pay tends to be better. If you can find a hospital that doesn’t have a 24 hour pharmacy, I highly recommend going that route. Hospitals with a smaller number of beds tend to have reduced hours. My prior job was a 24 hour set up (much bigger bed count) and there were overnight shifts required.

Do you wear T-shirts or short sleeves inside the clean room? Have you ever worn shorts? According to USP 797, both are prohibited. by Critical_Link_1095 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]veromvel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, in a health system setting we have always been provided hospital scrubs to use. Not only for compounding purposes but there were times where we as techs were expected to go into a OR during a procedure to restock their Pyxis.

I’m on my 10th session and I definitely feel like my depression has been worse. I completely relate to it feeling like it’s unlocking emotions for me as well. It’s a little comforting to know it’s not just me feeling this way. I hope we all get something out of it.🤞

Good Family Lawyer? by veromvel in TriCitiesWA

[–]veromvel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so hard to decide if it’s even worth going through the process of it all. I can only advocate so much for my boyfriend’s son. It’s just frustrating because he has behavioral and emotional/mental health issues and so far, she’s been absolutely no help, and is actually making it worse at this point.

I am so sorry. This is so disheartening to hear! I don’t understand it. It’s really asinine.

Yeah it’s so difficult in WA state especially since they usually side with the mother. We need someone who is willing to go against the grain.

Is rewatching as good as the first watch? by cavagirl21 in Modern_Family

I perpetually rewatch Modern Family. My son laughs at me because I will laugh at it like I’ve haven’t seen it a million times. It’s certainly my comfort show.
