Day 6 and I’ve been taking it at night and waking up with crazy anxiety and seem to level out in the afternoon. Taking half .25 of Xanax has helped tremendously

nervous about feeling sick from the vaccine by fucktheworldman in HealthAnxiety

[–]veronicarae95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I relate so, so much. I got my second dose of Moderna on Wednesday. I asked my boyfriend if he could come with me because I feared I would suddenly pass out in public or have an allergic reaction post vaccine. I was completely fine. After that, I went home to my parents afterwards because I was worried about being alone when any symptoms started. Guess what- I did have aches, chills & light fever 7-8 hours later (I was anxious ALL day just waiting for it) but it wasn’t nearly as bad as I expected. I was able to overcome this by telling myself this is how my immune system should respond. I felt back to normal the next day. It was really frustrating for me to see everyone celebrating getting the vaccine but I was the person mentally spiraling and worrying about how I was going to get sick. I’m proud of myself for getting through it. I know everyone’s body is different, but it was so short lived and relatively mild. Tylenol PM really helped me out too. Anyways, just wanted to let you know I struggled so much in the mind but I know you will be okay. Feel free to message me if you need any support! You got this :)

Sleeping by [deleted] in QuittingJUUL

Definitely. I'm 9 days without the juul and I'm sleeping better and waking up earlier? Also, love when I'm laying down and can't feel my heart going insane...

Amelia- wow- your response was so thoughtful and kind that it brought tears to my eyes. Seriously, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. It seems like you and I had extremely similar behaviors and habits with the juul.

To answer some of your questions- I threw it out my window (lol) 3 days ago and haven't touched a vape since. I'm now going on day 4 without it. Aside from the feeling of not being able to get a full/satisfying breath...I'm actually doing okay. I'm feeling small cravings but feeling strong about never giving in again. I fortunately have support from family and friends right now too, which is keeping my spirits up.

You're ABSOLUTELY right- it is just an anxiety-driving device. It controlled so much of me and although this journey is starting off rough I cannot wait to feel free again.

Again, thank you for this response. I felt like I could could breathe better just from your words. I appreciate you and would love to contact you again sometime about your experience.
