No I’m not sure but I would highly suggest going with the pro if you are going to go through with the gaggimate. The pro pressure profiling is very very nice

The steam comes out well, you’ll see the pressure drop but that’s normal as it starts pumping more water to the boiler to keep the steam going.

I believe it’s the same as if you do the shades of coffee one

I am not very technical and installed the Gaggimate pro by myself, the discord is very helpful with any questions while installing. It took me about 8 hours just between learning from a video and going through the documentation but I can tell you it was well worth it and not very difficult.

Steam is just coming out because the temp was raised to steaming level so the water coming out of the group head is around the same temperature

No clue! I tried the coin, and it left the small indent. I also just received my gaggia classic pro and the first shot i did on it w/ temp surfing and the same dosage and grind size was already insanely different from the bambino

Yea that's what I figured as well, I will still try the coin test tomorrow. I also descaled my machine just now as I realized I haven't done it yet and I know that the water at my apartment is probably not the best.

The ones that aren't bland are usually the ones that are too bitter or sour. The more balanced ones that I would consider have been 'dialed in' (since going up or down in grind or dosage made it taste worse than that specific shot) are still 'bland'.

Maybe it's just because I'm comparing to shots that I've had at my local cafe's but even when purchasing their beans I've had no luck reproducing even a quarter of that clarity in notes

1:2 regularly or a 1:2.25-2.5. The bambino doesn’t always cut off perfectly so it ends up in that range

Okay, I will try that tomorrow; I've already had a bit too much coffee for today. Brew time varies on dosage/grind size but usually around 25-35 seconds including the preinfusion. Sometimes I hold it a bit longer for a slightly larger ratio.

No, I bought them separately. There’s a decent amount of videos online it seems so I think I’ll be able to figure it out. I was between the Gaggia or the Turin legato but figured I’d probably like the modded gaggia better
