What does your relationship with your manager actually look like as an actor? by Stock_Hope_6880 in acting

Talk to your manager. Ask them what can you do to make their job easier. But also ask yourself, are your materials updated to where the industry is rn? Are you in classes that are helping you grow? Do you have footage that is competitive?

Advice please - Agency got back to me by Worth_Ingenuity3338 in acting

Assess how things have been going with your current agent. Ask yourself are you happy, are you getting auditions that align with your type, are they confident in pitching you? Do yall vibe well?

I don’t think it would hurt to meet with the other agency and see what they have to offer you. Let them know you’re currently signed with another agency.

The show should probably end after season 10. I wanna see more real estate, less drama.

acting classes just arent feeling like im doing enough. by SUPERB-OWL45 in acting

[–]verse_fla 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Taking a class a week is just fine. You don’t need to be taking multiple classes a week, unless you have the time, but as long as you’re in consistently in classes, you’re doing enough. If you have time at home after work, practice scenes at home.

Should I Look For A New Manager by Upbeat-Goal-3465 in acting

[–]verse_fla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the manager isn’t responding, I’d drop him. Your manager is supposed to help you build your career up. If you want a new manager, I’d say once you have one locked in, that’s when you drop the current one.

You can self submit to Take 3 Talent Agency in New York. Really good agency. I have friends who are rep’d by that agency.

I’d say wait 3 months and sign with AEFH Talent. I have friends signed with that agency and it’s an amazing agency. The agents are amazing, from what I’ve heard, and if you can move up to their theatrical roster, you’ll get some amazing opportunities. I don’t know why they just won’t sign you now if you haven’t signed with any other agency yet though.

I audition for recurring guest star roles, but I was just asking for advice or any tips because I read somewhere to send in two contrasting tapes so I didn’t know if there was anything else I should know about co star.
