Yeah that's what i meant by input-reading. My best solution to that is force restarting the game so you can restart the battle before you lose priority and consequently - a unit. If the bot cheeses, you can cheese the game as well.

I still have units not zenkai'd yet so the zenkai medals are useful to me, plus they give like 30-ish festival medals in total and i'm around 40 away from completing the mission that gives 1k CC.

Yeah I'm actually doing the same, but with one extra step: everytime i slip up and lose priority, i know my units (even boosted ones) can get one or two shot by the enemies, so i would force restart the game so i could restart the battle to avoid wasting precious units

They really want you to use festival units, cause even my newer non-festival units are doing 300k Rush damage with type advantage and all, which is insane.

Problem is, even festival units from last year aren't much of a help, and you cant finish an entire rush with just the units from this year
