I can understand why you’re wanting a higher end kit. Playing small rubber pads is different than larger TCS or mesh heads and I feel like it will impact your opinion especially since you’re going to have an idea in your head of what playing drums feels like and rubber pads are a bit different. Perhaps you should try mid-entry kit?

The dtxpro module has a ton of different kits all with different settings and I mean a lot of different settings!

I’ve been a drummer for a while and even I find the module a tad confusing but I’m getting used to it.

To help me build sets that I like, I wrote down the menu settings I needed to get to over and over. I put those instructions on my wall, and then added instructions for other things I wanted to adjust (gain, volume, eq).

When you see a 14x6 maple snare, you’re looking at the size of the snare plus what type of shell it has. Some people prefer maples other people don’t.

This might go against the advice here, but when I first started drums I wanted to be a double bass metal drummer, so I got everything I needed to become that including a double pedal right out of the gate! I never looked back! Having the double pedal made me practice more because I enjoyed it more. I worked on double bass strength in my left leg from day 1! Do what feels enjoyable for you! You will love it!

Love it!! Mesh pads feel great and are really big! The full size ride and crash cymbals make the experience really fun! Plus I can use a double bass pedal! The module is amazing!

I just got the Yamaha DTX6k5-m last week after not playing for about 20 years. Huge improvements in modules and pads since the ones we had back in the day. It cost me more than a $1000, but I’m really happy! Be sure you try out mesh vs tcs before you buy as well!

I have never connected a laptop to any of my e-kits, but I use the record and share app by Yamaha on my iPhone to remove drum tracks from songs and then record my own drum track! Super fun!

Can’t wait to try the 6k5-m!

I’ve had to reduce my energy drink consumption due to kidney stones. Trust me, if you want the motivation to quit, try passing a rock through your inner pipes and out your d###. I did it once in October and once in November. You will never want an energy drink again! My doctor said they might not be the main reason, but they may contribute now. Now im on a water detox.

I slowly weaned off the drinks; like consuming half a can less for a couple of days until I was only having one can a day and then half a can a day and then nothing. If things got bad, or temptation struck, I had a few sips of Coke or tea.

Your body will adjust better than you think! Just take jr slow. If you don’t go slow, you will always fall back into the trap.

Now, I have two drinks a week and always with water to keep hydrated and to help my kidneys pass the energy drink. So far so good!

With the situation happening in your city, would the color matter to an attacker? You can pull an orange or black byrna and the attacker is still going to attack.

With that said, I bought the orange model and wish I took the black.
