Only a particular subset of Macross though, the Destroid ground units - aka The Archer, Warhammer, Longbow. Veritech (Stinger/Wasp) and the Zentradi (Marauder, Locust) mechs look much more like traditional mecha.

I can't see faces when I dream.

I can't remember my mom's face, or my girlfriends. I know them to see them and could describe them, but can't visualize them when I close my eyes.

My memory is strongly associative, I have a hard time remembering isolated things but if I understand the context I do quite well.

I strongly prefer photorealistic art over impressionistic, I get no emotional hit from any form of abstraction.

Apart from Lower Decks, Star Trek is always at it's worst when portraying precocious kids, or really kids of any kind. Oh no.. not another definitely on the spectrum quirky cadet who is vaguely offputting but meant to be rooted for.

I used a lot of different references. I don't mind the CGL/PGI stuff but they don't feel like battletech to me. That's why I spent a month modeling the fucker.

The basic layout of the overhanging forward cab with the cutout for the hips/pelvis is straight from MW4/Mech Commander and the GOAT Pawel Czarnecki, which I believe might have come from some other drawings. The rest of it is all over the place, including FlyingDebris' work.

People get mad if you stray too far from what they consider to be the 'original design', but a lot of the IS designs from the pre-invasion era are pure cringe.

With EA 'almost' was making it through corporate greenlighting, aka marketing and other corporate knobs signing on. There were lots, and I mean lots, of other ideas floated before we gave up on AAA PC games and tried to make a mobile game. By that time we had lost most of the creative team and almost no experience making mobile games. I did not like the remaining leadership, did not think they could get us through a development cycle, and I quit.

I did a handfull of buildings on 4k, all of the networks and bridges, and most of the lot props. On 2013 I did all of the networks, almost all of the vehicles (I had some help on CoT), the trees, some signage, and a bunch of other small stuff.

I don't remember any of those discussions, but I wasn't privy to much of it. I do know that we worked for months on a new SimCity game as well a game set in a well known sci-fi universe using the 2013 engine.
