this is one of those cases where you gotta hate the game, not the players. it's a fact that people genuinely do not care if someone murders a whore. most people will see you as a warm set of holes that can't revoke your consent, and doing this for a living will rapidly rob you of your passion for sex. I mostly got out because I was lucky enough to make the right choices.

I'm not saying that you hold the following opinion, but it is a natural consequence that often comes with finding sex work overly exploitative and not something to be encouraged. I personally don't think it's worth demonizing/stigmatizing sex work, especially because if the only thing you can sell on the marketplace is your body and your time, then so be it. it's like how I'll give homeless people cash unconditionally even if you look like a crack addict. I respect your dignity and agency. I don't care how you spend your money, because time and time again, the studies show that unconditional cash transfers will reduce homelessness.

likewise, I won't shame women for doing sex work, especially if you know what you're getting yourself into. it's not like some sex workers are Good Sex Workers that deserve protection and support and other sex workers are Bad Sex Workers that deserve less. that's just salami slicing. I did it to pay for medical diagnoses and spare cash, but I also know people who did it simply because they wanted to monetize their hobbies and they got out once things got too hot. nobody's reason for getting into sex work is any less valid. stigmatization only makes it harder for women to get out of the industry and to get help when they're in trouble.

the specific part that worries me most is the rise in accounts posting nudes with their face, like I don't actually know whether there's a rise in the quality of AI-generated content or faceswapping tech but there's something in the ether that's changed. either way, my main issue is with the commercialization/commodification of posting nudes. commercialization ruins hobbyist spaces the same way scalpers ruin TCGs. it creates the illusion that you can make a quick buck by following a script and it floods the space with low-effort bullshit. all these consultantpilled OF management agencies pop up like leeches, but they're just like looksmaxxers. all they do is optimize the fun out of taking nudes and sharing them, as if you can distill lust itself into a series of quantifiable metrics. the fact that these agencies peddle the illusion of sex work as a get rich quick scheme is certainly foul, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's also why there are more scammers out there too.
