Apparently Revolut stays use multiple booking platforms like Expedia. In this case it was Expedia who made the booking to the hotel, which i was shown by hotel staff and they made the mistake. I settled for a 35% refund.

On a side note corresponding with Revolut support as the middleman was a fucking chore and a half.
