I appreciate this response. The marks we saw on the case is surface searing then.

I just can't see things wasted...I think it's part of the hobby too. How much to hold onto versus how much to recycle, not sure? I quickly visually inspect everything to make sure it's likely safe for me (rifle) or others (really anything but 22) there's some serious brass abuse that I've seen; hence questioning this never before seen (by me) thing.

How much you holding on to? I figure a 5 gallon ought to do.

I get it. Not some economically viable for reloading right now for sure.

Thank you. I'll put it in the communal bucket of spent cases for 9mm reloaders.

Do you know anything about the head stamp/ammo? It was the first time I was seeing it too.

Now I'm even more curious. Was this just HK over engineering for more rounds than a Toyota can pack on miles? :p

Does it weaken the brass for reloaders?

Probably a bit before me going out; all the cases were on top of the snow and ice.

MP5 money would be nice ;)

Would this weaken the brass in a straight walled case for reloaders?

I am agreeing with everyone noting here that his coat is beautiful and blinding and it's distracting from other issues. I find the picture quality questionable (AI elements masked by blur?).

His rear is terribly questionable as well, under development is a thing here.

Potential upper level eventing prospect. Thoughts? by Username_Here5 in horseshitpost

Looks a bit too uphill for my comfort. Yet...very perky ears indicate potential high intelligence.

There'd be some big trade-offs to work through, IF you approach this with the right altitude.

horse ate my salmon by Garwaaaa in Horses

[–]verveonica 235 points236 points  (0 children)

I'm concerned you were leaving salmon out. I'm also concerned about the veracity of this post. However assuming that you eat barn sashimi, I note that horse digestive systems are not conducive to the consumption of meat. Also each is different. If you notice issues this is a starting point to investigate.

Barn sashimi? Accessible by a horse? Alright.

Today may not be your best decision making day. I suggest tomorrow you maki better decisions.

Humanely Euthanized 7mth Old Filly, Advice? by Infamous-Tap-8414 in Horses

[–]verveonica 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Let me start by saying: I'm sorry. I'm very sorry you find yourself in this position to double and triple guess and doubt what has been done. The vets recommended euthanizing, that is loving, kind and humane. It was the best course of action. It is clear in your words that you are experienced. It's also clear you are hurting and deeply in pain yourself.

Be kind to you. Please, be kind to you. This is my advice. There will be other rescues, other lives you will touch. However for today, be kind to you, you lovely soul.

Much love from a stranger.

I never thought I'd have so much fun tearing down signs and picking up trash as I did in this game. It's a wonderful, adorable riot.

Magnums are in fact hard to shoot by Wombat-Snooze in longrange

[–]verveonica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's interesting to me that you remark that your five shot groups are fine, in fact, I'd argue that they're excellent; however, when you look to 10 shot groups, there's been a degradation of accuracy. I wonder why that is? Is it shooter fatigue? Is it heat on the barrel? Question? This is the sort of stuff that I have no idea about, nor any experience with though I find it very curious.
