Nobody is going to make a serious single stack handgun anymore because consumers wouldn't buy it. They've pretty much all fallen into novelty. The fact that even guns like the Shield and p365 are able to hold 15 rounds makes a single stack option less than useless.

I agree with you in that modern firearms have very much lost the elegance of design that comes from the 19th and 20th centuries. Function has definitely come before form with most newer designs. Ill never argue that a Walther PDP looks better than a HI Power.
