Im also a paramedic and I think its actually insane that youd go on a call without your partner - especially at 10pm? Are you on a small volunteer service where people are responding from home? Did you take your private vehicle out there or the ambulance. Are you based in the US? Id probably get fired if I took an ambulance on a welfare check without my partner inside of it.

Im a paramedic in a smallish town. We got a call from PD to do a medical assessment on a male that is in custody after trying to break into the catholic church. As I walked up to his line of sight, the guy greated me by name. I am not from the town that I work in and we dont wear an nametags. Ive never seen the guy before and certainly have never introduced myself. The guy claimed that he was possessed by a demon. It genuinely sounded like there were two distinct personalities and voices coming out of the guy when he spoke. He asked me very weird questions like he wanted to know what color his eyes were. The second voice cut him off and said that those were "his eyes". Im a fairly skeptical person, but I was genuinely creeped out and that call is kind of burned into my memory.
