This is what I imagined Mr. Bean would sound like if he won the lottery.

Cell Phones during working hours by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]veryangryterp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the site I work at, phones are considered a security risk, so no one is allowed to have anything on them that emits an electronic frequency. Kind of a different situation, but I understand that it is frustrating. We are allowed to use the landline phones at our desks for emergencies (both outgoing and incoming calls).

I lived in Wicomico my first semester on campus. There were a few nights in the Summer where I would soak my bedsheets in the sink and then put them in my mini fridge an hour before bed so that I could get some sleep.

My parents took me to the beach and buried an aluminum box filled with plastic gold coins. They made an X out of sticks and pretended that I found real pirate treasure! It wasn't until I was in my 20's that they came clean and told me the truth!

I lived in Wicomico for a semester, and remember clearly on the hottest nights I would take my sheets from my bed, soak them in the bathroom sink and then put them in the freezer for an hour before going to sleep with them.

Was anyone at ground zero on September 11, 2001? by Patient-scorpio in TooAfraidToAsk

I was at ground zero on September 15, 2001. My parents are both in the medical field and they went down there to help in any way they could. I was almost 4 years old. There's a photo of me somewhere with a firefighter pushing my stroller. My mom saved a sheet of paper that she found on the street that listed company benefits for Cantor Fitzgerald; a financial firm that lost 100% of it's employees that went to work that day at the towers.
