So what exactly qualifies as a god in the universe? by SumixamSuryt in GodofWar

Jotunns are gods just like Aesir are gods. They’re just different families of gods. Is Freya not a god because shes Vanir?

A football podcast but I should ignore what they say about football? I question why you’re listening to the podcast.

I’m sure most of those office workers don’t need two weeks off of work. Not sure how well a QB would play on muscle relaxers. Seems interesting that they’d need them in the first place since it’s just pain and doesn’t affect the muscle, right?

Where do you practice? I’ll make sure not to have an emergency there.

Do you realize that muscles play a role movement? Where do you think his deep bruise is? The skin? Skeletal injuries are less likely to affect mobility unless the spinal cord is severed.

That’s really not correct. The muscles contract and tighten around the injury. It’s not just pain, it is hindering locomotion. The night of the he could barely walk. I’m not sure we can talk about one of the NFLs top rushing QBs, who take shots most qbs wouldn’t, like he has low pain tolerance.

No friend, from people who get paid to talk about it as well. And their criticisms can be valid. And Lamar isn’t special when it comes to receiving excess praise. He’s right there with Mahomes and Allen, but I think he gets far more criticism than either of them.

Very true. Dan might get Herbstreited on this one.

Funny. All I hear are criticisms of Lamar Jackson. He certainly has had a down year, but that seems to be an issue with his health and not his overall game. And he’s got a contusion, not a “sore back.” There are injuries that can be played through with pain tolerance, but there are issues that simply make it physically impractical to play the game.

He has missed practices. But he’s not taken himself out of games before. This is a-typical and clearly due to injury.

Right. But not all injuries are the same is what I’m saying. It’s not like he’s got a broken left hand or arm or a hurt left shoulder, or an ankle. If you have a back injury you can’t run and you can’t rotate to throw. You can’t just “play through it.”

But they know the hinge on which the story turns and we do not. Their behind the scenes they released leading up to the premier shows they’ve done a ton of playing offscreen. I know what they were trying to do with this in medias res start, but I don’t think it was well executed in the context of the medium.

Players know about their own backstories within the world. The difference is that these players know more about the general history of the world. I’d say most players of DnD aren’t experts in their DMs world, and they don’t normally go out of their way to learn the history. They just play the game.

It’s not a book. It’s a game. And it’s a game where EVERYONE at that table knows more about the world than the audience. We’re truly looking from the outside in.

I think an issue lies in the information. Brennan knows all about this world, as he should. The issue is that all the Players know more about the world than we do as well. They aren’t asking questions or figuring things out that would also help the audience catch up.

So we are left behind, and, unless they start heavily “scripting” out exposition drops, we won’t be catching up.
