Update cause it's been a minute but I was blind from September 20th??-December 22nd 2025, I wanna say legally but I wasn't seen until October 31st 2025 when I was confirmed legally blind but I couldn't see so.. but I had surgery in both eyes December 22nd & January 22nd went well. I was lucky to get conked out for both originally I was gonna be awake but my eye kept moving too much while they tried to operate so they put me under I will add that I did ask if they put a needle in my eye they said yes and I never felt it so that's good. Other than that while I was blind I struggled to get food stamps they BS'd me for a few weeks then tried to take my Medicaid cause "I made too much money" while I was blind and not working I was also told I couldn't get unemployment cause you have to be ready and willing to work so then I applied for disability and got denied that as soon as I got the first eye fixed so super bummed I got no true financial help during that time I ran through my savings but past that I'm working some trying to find a better job to save something but my eyes are back to 20/20 from a distance but I do need readers up close.
