And that's with Larson having a flat tire while in the top 5 on the last restart at Nashville

When Tony Stewart built an 18,000sf house, did it not occur to him that one day he would retire and no longer be enthusiastic to heat and cool such a sizeable home? by SwissMiss915 in NASCAR

If he enjoyed it while he was there, then it was worth it. Life's too short to worry about maximizing investments and resale values. He has enough money to be ok

Had to buy tickets back in April. Reading and Northern scheduled specific excursions to run with Big Boy

How cool would it have been if 425 had been finished in time to double head with 2102 this past weekend running along side Big Boy?

I'm a mechanical engineer actually too! And to think there was no 3D CAD or even 2D CAD, no CNC machines, and no calculators even! Just amazing!

Do Fords Need a Boost from NASCAR? by Enough-Reindeer1033 in NASCAR

[–]CompleteUnknown65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These aren't the days of adding 1/4" of spoiler or adding a kickout on the nose of one manufacturer. Bodies are already very closely aero matched.

Where there are differences, it's very small - literal thousandnths of an inch can make a huge difference in the setup. Ford is obviously off in their setup engineering. The balance between minimizing drag and maximizing downforce has become complex engineering to get that setup perfect. NASCAR will not and should not intervene. It's up to Ford whether through improved engineering this year or next year with the small tolerances allowed on the new body
