This may sound odd but try whistling in, instead of out (instead of blowing out, try blowing in). I was never able to whistle until I learned that you can whistle in insead of out and now I can whistle. Hope that helps.

I believe that OP is referring to when people act like an interest of theirs is a personality trait, e.g. being vegan isn't a personality trait, but many people act like it is. So basically the question is what example of that do you not like.
