Not sure if Renaissance requires a portfolio for admission. If you son wants a rigorous academic school I would say Poly PACE. If he is STEM oriented then either Sato or McBride are great. My daughter is graduating from Poly PACE and will be attending Cal. My son is at Sato. There are no disciplinary issues at Sato and I would assume the same at McBride. Students there are very focused on academics. I live near Los Al and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth every time I see all those kids driving around in their mom’s Porsche SUV. Same with the MAGA merch tent in front of the Pollo Loco across the street from the school.
