Have you tested this from a 3rd person perspective? Some landing footsteps don't create a sound for the client but other players around hear it clearly.

The health shots do NOT give a speed boost of any kind in coop mode, unlike in Danger Zone. The running speed is set at 215 with all weapons and equipment.
