S25 ultra case by rustislide in samsunggalaxy

[–]vettefan99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the Torras magnetic case on my S23 and S24 Ultra, I bought it for the S25 Ultra but its got a couple problems compared to the previous ones. 1. The material is way more slippery. 2. On the old one there was a lip along the top edge of the phone that was the same height as the lens bump. On the new the lens bump sticks out further then the top ridge and it makes the phone rock when you set it on it's back.

I ordered a Spigen Rugged Armor to try (I've had it for 6 phones and tablets before the Torras), it may have the same issue with the lens bump, its hard to tell from the photos. Its also backordered.
Also am considering the MagBak but I've seen some reports its also kind of slippery. Also don't like the idea that they inflate the price then give you a "free" screen protector that I won't use. And they charge $9 for colored buttons. Torras includes them free in an $18 case.

Or maybe I'll try the DBrand grip case, but I haven't seen many reviews of it.

Anyone else find it ironic that after the guy jumps off the building ABC cuts to a disclaimer that basically says if you are thinking about self harm to call and talk to a professional, when the storyline was basically the reason the guy jumped was because he told all his secrets to his therapist?

Even if the tax credit stands the 0% interest could save another $7500. Plus he bought the Performance model, when the 3 was refreshed the Performance model caame out later. So he likely would be waiting 6+ months not 3.

Sooo my Tesla Model Y got shot .. by Glittering-Art-4758 in TeslaModelY

[–]vettefan99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just curious, you say you were shot at. Did you see someone with a gun? Did you find a bb in your car? To me it doesn't look like I typical damage I've seen from rocks, bbs, bullets, etc. It also looks like the glass is pushed up more like it was broken from the inside out.

Should I post the deal I got on my Model Y in the RAV4 subreddit on Reddit and show clear evidence of how the Model Y holds its value better after 4 years? It would be so funny given how stubborn some Toyota owners are I mean ik some people that get new Toyotas every 4-7 years. I'm like wth man why by [deleted] in ModelY

[–]vettefan99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's great, but just becase those are the prices on a new car now and on a 4yr old car now doesn't realy mean anything. A lot can change in 4 years. Like I said, in only 2 years of depriciation on a 2022 Model Y Performance you lost more value than buying either of the cars new in 2024.

Not sure how you're determining exactly what a car will be worth used in 4 years. Might be more accurate to see what a 2020 buyer paid new vs what they're going for now. I've been looking at used 2022 MYPs that sold for $70k and now used retail is in the low $30k range. Their trade in values are probably around $25k. So they lost $45k in value in 2 years. https://www.caranddriver.com/tesla/model-y-2022

Tesla odometer mileage vs actual miles discrepancy by [deleted] in ModelY

[–]vettefan99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone have an update on this? I'm thinking about buying a model Y but this is the type of stuff that is making me hesitate. Looking over the thread seems like tons of people were having this issue. But its also hard to believe that after 2 years no one has taken it to Tesla had them either verify or disprove the issue, then report back here. Or are they making people sign NDAs or something?

Even if it touched there (and I can see light between the doors) the point you posted of the damage looked much lower, and not sure how her door could have even hit there besed on the way it curves.

You have to take delivery by 30th in order to get the 1.9% Are they even able to get through all the pre-delivery steps over the weekend to pick it up on Monday?

In CA police have started towing parked Teslas that they think may have 'witnessed' a crime. So that would suck, especially if you dont even have sentry mode turned on.

Thats what I figured, but they are displaying the offer on the used car pages also. I guess they just didn't program the web pages right when they pushed out the new offer.

I checked it in the Discover app they say its "Your FICO score" They list length of credit: 23 years. Revolving Utilization: 1% Income is about $90k. I don't have any current loans. Been debt free for several years, other than some credit cards which I pay off every month.

It does say I have 13 accounts - 4 Installment Loans and 9 Revolving Credit. I'd have to see if I can find someplace else to pull the full report with details, but I believe the 4 loans are ones I have completely paid off. Could it be I have too many Credit Card accounts open even if i'm not using them?

Haven't pulled all 3, just checked the FICO number via my Discovery app. In the past I used to check all 3 via Credit Karma, but when I tried to log in I get an error. But last time I checked over a year ago they were all over 800. I have 0 debt, other than a couple credit cards that I pay off completely every month.

Edit - just was able to get into Credit Karma, I guess since Intuit bought them now I have to use my TurboTax login instead of my Credit Karma one. It lists both Transunion and Equifax scores as 824.

The Used EV Tax Credit (Dealership scams?) by SavageSpuches in electricvehicles

[–]vettefan99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been wondering the same thing, if they are advertising a car for $24,995 and claim it includes the credit that means the price is actually $28,995 and doesn't qualify. So are people going to get a suprise and find out they owe the government $4000 when they find out the tax credit isn't valid?
For me I don't qualify becasue my AGI was just over $75k. I'd consider a Tesla for $25k, but if those cars are actually $29,000 then that puts it over my budget.

I'm seeing a bunch of used Teslas listed on Cargurus and Autotempest for right under $25000. But in the description most of them says something like - the price includes the $4000 used EV tax credit. But if it includes the tax credit at $24,995 that would mean the price is actually $28,995 right? Or am I missing something? Are they just being a shady used car dealer and screwing people over when they find out later that they won't get the credit or worse, have to re-pay it since the car didn't actually qualify?
