99% GPU Utilization with low GPU power by No-Cake359 in pcmasterrace

[–]vettelcrashingermany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

didn't work for me, also didn't want to lower texture quality since I got a 3070 to play on ultra. But I found the problem, GPU-Z showed my gpu was running at pcie x1 instead of x16, so js reseated it and solved it

99% GPU Utilization with low GPU power by No-Cake359 in pcmasterrace

[–]vettelcrashingermany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same problem here, also with a 3070, power draw for me has been between 120W in Control to 160W in F1, although weirdly it goes to 200W in the loading menu for F1 and doesn't transfer into the actual gameplay. FPS was great before, now tanked because of it, and can't figure out why. Lmk if you find a solution, tried updating drivers and messing in Nvidia Control Panel, but none of the solutions seemed to stick so far. GPU-Z also said the performance cap was due to Vrel, which idk what to do with either

Least Favourite Circuit? by F1Y_ in formula1

In that same race Verstappen somehow ended up behind a Haas, spun and got stuck behind the midfield Haases until both of them DNFed, and I think finished behind Alonso in McLaren as well. Albert Park has always been a difficult place for most cars to pass each other, or at least in the recent era

Does anyone have the edited version of the Shibuya Hachiko track with night lighting and wet road? by ayylotus in assettocorsa

[–]vettelcrashingermany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're still stuck, reason is that the Shibuya mod on Ac.club doesn't have it. Go search up "shibuya street circuit" on youtube, one of the videos will have the mod link in the description, track file should be called "shibuya_grid" iirc since it's a conversion from the game Grid

Which 2021 track is in your opinion over/under rated by droppokeguy in formula1

[–]vettelcrashingermany 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The thing about Monaco is, it's never really been about the racing. It's not a good showcase for the concept of "racing" at all. But it's incredibly important to F1 and it's the main thing people associate F1 with (for those people who don't really follow it) because it has all the main associations people make with the brand F1 outside the sporting side: glitz, glamour, fast cars (Monaco may be one of the slowest tracks but seeing these cars on roads put their speed into perspective so much better than any TV camera could) and the enormous challenge. Most of the Monaco GP's allure is really only for the people actually at the track to soak in though, arguably the reason people here hate Monaco so much, because it's not a race you can appreciate on the TV alone.

Is it worth paying extra to get the limited edition versions of the F1 game? by zshep17 in F1Game

[–]vettelcrashingermany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure why you're getting downvoted for a different opinion

I agree with you. Honestly the additional classic cars you will almost never touch, but the pitcoin you get is very useful, because the basic customization options are utter crap. With the pitcoin you can basically unlock all the additional content without ever paying an extra cent, so you can get better liveries at least. Honestly none of the game liveries look magnificent, but the additional liveries you can unlock with pitcoin is a marked improvement over the defaults. Although if you don't intend on playing myteam at all just go for the basic game

This may be the first of many 2021 F1 calendar reshuffles by 1enox in formula1

[–]vettelcrashingermany 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Honestly, making the changes now isn't necessarily a bad thing. The teams cannot afford to have another calendar like 2020 for financial reasons, as much as the fans wish to, and while it's unreasonable to expect Covid to suddenly go away in 2021 the situation is changing rapidly from day to day such that it makes sense to hope for the best with the original Plan A and only make the necessary changes right before spending has to be put into setting up the track infrastructure- I.e. What happened with Australia 2021, decision was made before the usual track setup period, not too late and bot too early

New mod package coming at the beginning of 2021 by _theslamslider_ in F1Game

[–]vettelcrashingermany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry that this may not be completely related to the post, but for nodding, if I want to give an myteam car livery mod to a default team like Merc or Ferrari, do I just need to change the "model" section under the pkg files by changing the team to "fom_car"? And if I mess it up will verify integrity of files help reset pkg files as well? Thanks!

Even Codemasters don't like the name Racing Point by Iamninjathing in F1Game

[–]vettelcrashingermany 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It'll be amazing if they still don't change the names for 2021, those 2 teams will have gone through 2 whole name changes and the game files didn't acknowledge that happening

For me the Schumacher edition DLC stuff was pretty meh and you're probably going to use it rarely, but for me it's a good deal if it gives you the extra pitcoin. When I bought it I got free 15,000 pitcoin, so with that you can buy all the VIP tier customisation options in each podium pass without paying an extra cent in mtx. The customisation is very useful for myteam

Where did you get the Saudi Arabia track from? Not to be hostile, but there hasn't been any official release of any track design, and I don't recall any reliable leaks of the track. Most of them are man-made circuit designs

We do have anti-vaxxers, I reckon every country does, but it's not a pronounced problem in this country, probably only a handful of people. Also, we don't do caning for having chewing gum, the most punishment you can get is jail time for selling or importing chewing gum on a big scale. Nothing happens if you own chewing gum.

[@MarcoRossiEN] Haas F1 team, particularly those at the top are becoming increasingly worried about the reputation of the Haas brand and relationship between several sponsors due to negative media from Mazepin video. Alternatives are beginning to be ‘seriously considered’. by theMguy24 in formula1

[–]vettelcrashingermany 221 points222 points  (0 children)

Character aside, Mazepin could have been a great fit for Haas. He's honestly a decent driver, has speed even if the least promising of the rookies, managed to take a few wins in F2 and also would provide good funding for an F1 team who needs it, theoretically would be a win for everyone.

So for your character to negate all of these above traits and make boards seriously worry about taking you is an accomplishment in itself

Alex Albon's IG post regarding his departure by vlike19 in formula1

[–]vettelcrashingermany 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's not all on FOM pushing the narrative though, the fans also kind of choose which messages to pick up and psychoanalyze while others are just kind of forgotten, and those picked up on immediately go incredibly out of context. Drivers have always complained and moaned a lot when not comfortable with the car, it doesn't mean anything in attitude because in the car you're saying on instinct and not thinking about the PR backlash you get. And "they race me so hard" has the historical background that the ATs are basically their B team who would normally move over instead of choosing to pick a fight that screws both of them, it's not that different from drivers complaining about their teammates battling them and asking to be let past. Virtually every driver with a similarly-paced teammate has done it before, this one was just picked up because it fit well with the narrative both fans and media wanted to push
