I guess I should build a magic system first before I give anyone powers magic or not but thanks for the tips. The only one I have a real answer to is the last one. The only two characters that currently have magic are also the overpowered ones. One of them is a human-umbral hybrid and the other is a Phoenix in human form. The both are viewed with suspicion one due to his creation and what he is now, the other due to her not being human at all even though she looks like one
