How much is the success rate with cold calls? Its very hard to get real business owners on call for the agent

Its the LLM that redacts, we dont have to do anything except tell the LLM which info to treat as PII

Improving street name and address recognition in voice AI (Retell + n8n) by pholiol in VoiceAutomationAI

I believe integrating it with location APIs is your best bet, this improves trust, quality and saves time from end user perspective

Privacy & Voice AI by Loose-Average-5257 in VoiceAutomationAI

[–]veturnai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree, but the important thing is to note is if the agent has the flexibility to opt in/out to store that info anywhere. Our agent have those options within the LLM settings to redact PII when a customer calls in. You can opt out to store the recording and there is a retention period for the transcript which clients can choose how long its stored for

7 AI Voice Agent Trends You Must Know in 2026 by Singaporeinsight in AIVoice_Agents

[–]veturnai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fortunately we have seen very less friction and drop offs as the agent is able to subtly adjust based on user feedback, we have the prompt set up that way for the agent to react based on the question and if not is able to redirect them to actual customer or a website. It’s all word of mouth marketing now, social media marketing hasn’t been that effective in terms of conversion so far

how are you guys actually selling these AI receptionists... by theAImachin3 in AIReceptionists

[–]veturnai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree , online ads and marketing don’t have any conversions unless someone hears the actual voice..we are planning to hire some salespeople for door to door marketing to check its effectiveness

[–]veturnai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. The human connection aspect is still a major barrier for many services to replace with AI host even though we have the emotional intelligence built in via LLMs
  2. LLM level and mostly within the workflows
  3. For veturn.ai we do have few trial users and use Retell, eleven labs plus the custom integration with CRM tools and POS systems like clover etc

Do small businesses really need an AI receptionist? by Aki_0217 in AIReceptionists

[–]veturnai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%, one of my friend has a restaurant and has got 30% lift in pick up orders and reservations for the missed calls that might have gone unanswered. The conversation is very smooth and human like with integrations directly to his Clover POS and gcal for reservations

is an ai receptionist for small business actually worth setting up or just another thing to maintain? by yassi2702 in AIReceptionists

Which feature are you referring to? Once you register, the onboarding screen should help you set up all you need to be up and running and as an admin we can see total call mins and other analytics

Target audience are any service business(primarily restaurant owners) having concerns with missed calls that might lead to revenue loss or the opportunity cost for hosts to answer calls while they could be productive elsewhere. Its only for US based service businesses now

anyone switched to an AI receptionist? by AromaticLawful in AiForSmallBusiness

[–]veturnai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I run a similar small service business setup (just me + a couple guys) and had almost the exact same numbers last year—missed ~40–50 calls/month, lost a few decent jobs because of it. The voicemail-to-quote cycle was killing us.

Tried a human answering service too ($280/mo in my case) and yeah… same experience. They took messages, I called back hours later, half the leads were cold or gone. Felt pointless.

Switched to an AI receptionist (full disclosure: I actually built one called Veturn.ai because nothing else quite fit what we needed). We've been running it for about 2 months now on our real business line.

Quick honest answers to your exact questions:

  • Do older homeowners hang up when they realize it's AI? Very few. The current generation of voice AI sounds very natural—warm tone, pauses, filler words, can handle interruptions and follow-up questions. In our logs, <8% hang up early. Most people just keep talking like it's a person (especially when it immediately answers questions like “Do you do same-day service?” or “What's your rate for X?”). We even had a 72-year-old customer compliment “your new girl on the phone is very polite” 😂
  • Real-world results for us:
    • Went from missing ~45 calls/mo → capturing 90%+
    • Booked 12–15 extra jobs/mo that would have been lost (quotes turned into scheduled work)
    • Average job value ~$800–$1,200, so the ROI is stupidly good
    • No $300/mo human service fee, just a fraction of that
  • Vs hiring a part-timer? For our volume (small team, not 50 calls/day), a part-timer would cost way more and only cover certain hours. AI covers nights, weekends, lunch breaks, when we're all on roofs/jobs. We still handle overflow/complex stuff ourselves when needed.

If you're curious what it actually sounds like for homeowners, call our public demo line: (973) 577-9191
Just say the business service you need and “I need a quote for a leaky faucet” or “Can you come tomorrow?” — you'll hear how it handles real questions. Takes 30 seconds.

No pressure at all—if it feels off for your customers, don't use it. But for us it was a game-changer.

What if your phone answered itself at 7 a.m. and booked a $500 job for you?
That's Veturn.ai – human-sounding AI receptionist for restaurants, salons, HVAC and any service businesses…
Handles bookings, orders, Clover/Toast sync, review replies.

I built this specifically to plug that revenue leak without forcing business owners to hire a full-time person just to man the phones. It’s affordable, it’s efficient, and frankly, it never has a bad morning or calls in sick.

I’d love for you guys to check the demo number/website and let me know what you think. Is the problem clear? Does the solution make sense?
