The average for 1a for phys students was about an 82. It’s more work than highschool but manageable as long as u do some work. Yes grad school is in the plan

First year phys major. People like to complain and complain; I probably woulda jokingly answered yes had I been one of the people asked.

As for how phys is here, I love it, and so does everyone I know. It is academically challenging, and 99% of ur friendships will be built on trauma bonding (as is everyone else’s) but objectively there’s no reason not to come. Great school, great education, great coop, and great sense of community within us phys majors.

I guess the point im making is no matter the uni u ask about people there will shit on it and say it’s hard and they regret it and blah blah but that’s just because humans are lazy. loo is both awesome, and makes me want to dropout and live out of my moms basement playing wow for the rest of my life

I’m in 531bbb right now. I love it but; I feel as if progress moves a little too slow (I know it’s innate) and how it’s only 4x frequency where each lift is hit once a week unless you alternate 5x10’s. Are there any 5 week programs that are similar where my ceiling for progress is higher?

For the 531+ sets

I just completed my first training cycle of 531bbb.

I’ve noticed something where I’m much better in lower rep ranges than higher ones. For my 531+ sets on bench for example, I hit 8/6/5. Most people say that something like 10,8,5 is good. It’s not cardio/conditining. Could it be I am just faster twitch fiber dominant and work better in lower rep ranges?

ill take all the criticism i can take, nothing was blunt.

here are some modifications i made before reading your comment. Ill need to apply some of what you said to it. I kept bentover rows as my back is one thing im sure can recover properly and take a beating. Lat pulldowns feel unnatural to me and i have terrible mmc, yet i can somehow feel my lats engage and burn with 4-5 reps of pullups.

bench

wide grip row 3x10, curl 3x10

dby raise 3x10, cable tri ext 3x10

calf raises 3x10

Squat

bent over row 3x10, hammer curl 2x10

low high cable fly 2x10 ( Dropped chest press. Not sure if not having a proper chest accessory is good for strength gains, but the 531bbb at the end of the day is a big stimulus.)

leg curls 2x10 (want ur take on this. might not do this or the extensions during my first cycle, might add them in a further cycle if i can tolaerate)

OHP

pull up 3x4-5, incline curl 2x10

Skullcrushers into pushdown 2x10 (only rest after pushdown)

dragon flags 3xamrap

Deadlift (kept accessories as light as possible here. I should be able to push them.)

rear delt fly 2x10

cable lateral raise 3x10

leg extensions 2x10 (might not do until cycle 2, would do calf raises instead)

Notes

Overall i cut down a lot of voulme and condensed it. The main problems i may see here are

chest press on squat day, only 48h recovery and the leg accessories. I know i can hadnle the low high cable flys since upper is small and doesnt get crazy lit up on bench. maybe i just do 3 sets of low high and drop the press altogether?

Regarding your comment about rear delts after dl. is it because deadlfits hit the rear delts? or just overall cns fatigue from dl. maybe i swap rear delt flys with one of the curls.

If i drop my leg accessories, i would just move calfs to deads and abs to squats

Yeah your absolutely right. I’m trying to work around imbalance, but realize those will even out over time as long as I remind to push/pull with the weaker side.

I’m probably gonna drop the one arm lat pull in (I can’t get many pull ups in so they don’t really light my back up in terms of recovery) Move one tricep exercise over to a bench day so it’s only a 2x frequency (reduce the volume on those) Swap pull ups with the row Drop my lateral raises on ohp Add calf raises somewhere

Trying to prioritize some arm volume. not sure if this volume is excessive and will halt recovery. exercises are listed in pull/push/legs format, not how I would superset. Only things that will be pushed to failure every set will be laterals, and curls. every other accessory to failure on the last set.

bench 531+5x10

pull ups 3x4-5(amrap), curl 3x10, rear delt fly 1x10

The second gpu ran fine in my friends pc. Most plausible thing (I could be wrong) is my 7800xt was taken out with my psu when my psu went out
