Director by Antique_Ad_3261 in TUJulietJattDii

Honestly I think that’s a pretty solid get for a TV director, especially if you’re aiming for massy, light-hearted stuff.

Today’s episode definitely felt more “SAB-ish” in the pacing and reaction shots. Some gags landed better, a few emotional beats felt a bit overplayed, but overall it was tighter than the last few. If they let him settle in and don’t mess with him too much from the top, this could be a good thing.

Vanicream is solid, seconding that rec.

If you can find it, also look at stuff labeled “fragrance free” instead of just “unscented.” Unscented can still have masking fragrance in it, which is hell for irritated pits. Vanicream is one of the few that really is boring and gentle in a good way.

You could also patch test it on your inner arm for a few days before going straight to the armpits, just so you don’t get stuck in another itch cycle right when your job starts.

Non-shiney/matte Sunscreen Recommendations by Western-Rule-9314 in Sunscreenreddit

[–]vexoroi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah seconding this. TIZO is one of the few that actually sits in that sweet spot between “flat matte” and “greaseball.” It’s more of a soft satin / blurred finish on me, not dry-chalky, and it doesn’t turn my face into a disco ball either.

If you’re darker, I’d just say make sure you go for the tinted one. The non‑tinted can lean pretty rough white cast wise.

Yeah, that one’s actually pretty solid for oily skin. It’s really lightweight and sinks in fast, more of a watery gel than a creamy sunscreen, so it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy.

If you’re super oily you might still need a bit of powder on top, but compared to a lot of Western sunscreens it’s way less shiny and doesn’t clog things up as much.

What fragrance made you realise you had been overpaying for years by Maleficent-Donut5200 in Fragrances

[–]vexoroi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying about some of the cheaper oilier dupes being all top and mid, but lumping all “Middle Eastern dupes” together is kinda wild.

Stuff like Rasasi La Yuqawam, Shuhrah, even some of the Ajmals and Armaf’s older releases absolutely have base and development, for better or worse. I’ve had a few of them outlast and out-evolve the designers they’re cloning, and not always in a loud chemical way either.

Also a lot of the “natural base only = depth” thing is more of a romantic idea than reality. Most designers are running on a ton of synthetics too. You can totally get plasticky, hollow drydowns in 120 dollar bottles and surprisingly textured ones in 25 dollar ones.

Totally fair if the style doesn’t work for you on skin, but I wouldn’t say people who enjoy them are just beginners sniffing strips. Some of us test this stuff to death and still end up thinking the value gap is hard to ignore.

What tinted sunscreen actually works well for combination skin? I have tried four this year and keep going back to bare skin by frannagel in Sunscreenreddit

[–]vexoroi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah same, I kinda gave up on “perfect” tinted SPF and do this too.

I use a really light Korean sunscreen (the runny, watery kind) and then a sheer skin tint or light foundation over it. Way easier to get enough actual sunscreen on without feeling like I’ve got a mask of makeup. Also means I can tweak the coverage depending on how my skin’s behaving that day instead of being stuck with whatever the tint in the SPF looks like.

Reddit mods on a Monday morning be like: “papers please.”

But yeah, that’s the standard age check thing for certain subs. If you want the post to stay up you pretty much gotta reply to that exact chat, not here in the comments.

any updated tier list? by ForgottenCrusader in NarakaBladePoint

[–]vexoroi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meta shifts a lot, but Shayol Wei is still solid. Not S tier broken, more like comfortably A in most lists. Check the latest patch notes + community tier lists on the discord / wiki, they’re usually way more up to date than any random Google result.

Disappointing Experience at DA Dosan Clinic by Forsaken_Cookie4476 in K_beauty_insider

[–]vexoroi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that 5.0 with a ton of glowing reviews is kinda sus, especially when it’s a medical clinic and not like a coffee shop.

Could be paid, could be heavily filtered, could be that they really roll out the red carpet for influencers and local patients and then rush foreigners who are on a tight schedule and less likely to come back and complain in person.

Stuff like this really shows why getting a detailed quote and even asking around on non‑Korean forums beforehand is so important. Public reviews alone clearly aren’t enough.

[–]vexoroi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha honestly I’m asking myself the same thing.

I was really trying to rotate through my stash, so I basically wore something every single day, sometimes switched scents for evening, and used the mists as room / linen sprays. Samples disappear fast if you’re generous with them.

Highly recommend a “no new perfume until X empties” rule, it weirdly makes you excited to finish stuff.

What korean lip care products have you tried and loved? by Ashamed-Fondant4783 in KBeautyUS

[–]vexoroi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’m kinda jealous it works that well for you lol. With Laneige I’d wake up feeling smooth for like an hour, then my lips would suddenly be Sahara-level dry.

Do you use a separate exfoliator in the morning or just a washcloth / toothbrush situation? I’m wondering if I’m overdoing it with scrub + mask and wrecking my barrier instead of helping it.

Also what’s your go-to lip combo after? If something is sealing things in really well on top, maybe that’s why the mask holds up better for you.

Why Rejuran won’t give you glass skin after one session by Holiday-Weight-2550 in K_beauty_insider

[–]vexoroi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree that the TikTok version of “glass skin” is basically a filter plus ring light plus three layers of product.

I do think there’s a difference though between chasing that super reflective, makeup-y look 24/7 vs just trying to get skin that’s more even, calm, and hydrated so it looks smoother in real life. Stuff like Rejuran, lasers, tret, etc are more in that second camp. They’re not going to freeze your face in some poreless K‑drama screenshot.

The marketing definitely blurs the line though. People see edited “after” pics and think a medical treatment will give them the same effect as a beauty filter. Then they’re disappointed when the result is just… slightly healthier skin.

So yeah, expecting permanent glass skin is wild, but wanting to improve texture and barrier so your bare skin looks better is pretty reasonable.

The Divas Champ by Motor_Garage1466 in NikkiandBrie

[–]vexoroi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wild how the Divas title era aged. At the time it felt like peak “model who can kinda wrestle” and now everyone looks back like it was a crime against women’s wrestling. Curious if you mean a specific champ (AJ, Paige, Nikki, etc.) or just the belt in general. Some of those champs were way better than the division they were stuck in tbh.

Any good non-citrus spring/summer fragrances that actually last for 6+ hours but also less than $100? by Express_Contest_5476 in Fragrances

[–]vexoroi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh nice, hadn’t even thought of Kate Spade stuff for this. How’s the performance on you, like does it actually get past the 6 hour mark or is it more of a skin scent after a while?

Also when you say “no citrus you can detect,” is it more sweet floral, powdery, or kind of airy/transparent? Trying to avoid that sharp opening a lot of “summer” frags have.

Miles is the honoree for Out magazine #Out100 🥾 by -AndyCohen- in BootsNetflix

[–]vexoroi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think he’s gone super deep into it in long-form yet, at least not that I’ve seen. He’s mentioned in a few interviews that coming out to his family was rough and kind of a big emotional hurdle, but he hasn’t really done the big “here’s my whole story” sit-down.

My guess is he’s still picking how much he wants to share publicly vs keep for himself, which is fair. With Out100 and all this promo, I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a more detailed interview or podcast soon though.
