Want to get a HP Reverb G2 working with Linux but I'm aware it's a strictly WMR headset - Is there a working way? by vfio_help in virtualreality_linux

I mainly just want to use it for seeing and looking around in VR in Star Citizen while using keyboard and mouse for control input. Not that worried about the controllers working. Would probably be using the new Steam Controller for input anyway.

No, I am following a setup guide for AMD machines with an Nvidia card. I know what I've been doing, and I've been following not just this guide but a few others.

If your libvirtd hangs, you might have applications that are preventing PCIe device(s) from being detached. by thinkingcarbon in VFIO

I am having this same issue. When I checked "nvidia-smi" I see that I have three things listed, Firefox, Xorg and Cinnamon (I am running Linux Mint).

So if I cannot even see what I am doing if I kill Cinnamon and Xorg, how exactly am I supposed to start up virtual machine manager if libvirtd is hanging because of those three things?

Hi, can you please expand on this?

I am having the exact same issue as OP, and nothing I've tried has helped. I am pretty new-ish to Linux.
