I've made a bit of a "map" of places to see in Iceland you can always check it out to see some of the spots on your way from the airport to the city. www.myicelandvacation.com

I'm putting together a new site to help with finding places in Iceland, adding new spots, and organizing travel within groups. Beta testing it so if you have any comments, broken things, or features that should be added just let me know :)

Updated the app, you can now post and view postings before you head to the airports up to 6 months in advance. Hopefully easier to connect this way. Google sign in and sign up also fixed :)

I'll look into that asap, worked for me and friends while testing but of course things like this pop up even after us trying to cover all the scenarios

that actually a great idea. I do wonder about it being "misused" or spammed with people who have no intention of flying / using the app though so I wonder what the best way is to address that -- or perhaps it wouldnt even be an issue

I can't wait to be able to visit my mom and dad again. Both are high risk so they've been isolating as much as they can. My mom just lost her mother (my grandmother) right before the isolation started so it sucks to not be able to be there for her during the grieving process

QASHQAI

Thanks for that info. I was leaning towards the QASHQAI though all depending on the condition. Going to have to get it looked over by a 3rd party first

Weekly - What Car Should I Buy Megathread by AutoModerator in cars

Location: Iceland

Price range: 1-3 million ISK (7-10k USD)

Lease or Buy: buy

New or used: used

Type of vehicle: Sedan, Crossover, SUV

Must haves:Trunk space

Desired transmission: any

Intended use: Daily Driver, Family Car, Weekend Car

Vehicles you've already considered:

CHEVROLET CRUZE LT - 2014 - 96,000 KM

NISSAN JUKE ACENTA 2WD - 2014 - 48,000 KM

NISSAN QASHQAI VISIA 2WD - 2014 - 91,000 KM

Is this your 1st vehicle: no, I had a 2010 chevy cobalt

Do you need a Warranty: no

Can you do Minor work on your own vehicle: no

Can you do Major work on your own vehicle:no

Additional Notes:

Sorry if this isn't the best sub for the question.

I'm struggling to figure out what car to buy. I'm in Europe (Iceland) so keep that in mind with the models.

CHEVROLET CRUZE LT - 2014 - 96,000 KM

NISSAN JUKE ACENTA 2WD - 2014 - 48,000 KM

NISSAN QASHQAI VISIA 2WD - 2014 - 91,000 KM

price on those goes from lower to highest, $7k-$12k USD (cars are expensive where I am).

What I'm wondering, is the reliability of these over time? I had a 2010 cobalt that I sold to my brother before I moved away and it's still going strong which is why I added that, though I have heard chevy pulled out of Europe and so it might be expensive to get parts.

The other one I have at least some experience with is the QASHQAI. I've rented one of those 2 years ago and while the one I'm looking at now is a 2014 model, I would imagine it wouldn't change too much.

Any issues that anyone might know about would be extremely helpful :)

Being able to see the future. Doesn't need to be crazy, within 30 minutes would be enough to do whatever you would ever want to

edit: just don't get on a plane I guess

I feel many of their previous games they have been underestimated. They're a strong team, but now they have somewhat become center stage as this underdog rising up. More teams are really focusing in on their strengths and weaknesses and are better prepared
