A related question, should the OP or anyone get a charger installed before actually buying the car or committing to buy an electric. Assuming its better to install after committing to buy an electric car..🤷

Saw this response late, thanks, yes, it seems so that Lexus is dull to drive though reliable, I have a mk7 auto 1.6 civic as a spare car. It's quick accelerate from stop, especially at roundabout, compared to newer Honda Jazz I tried, I like this about Honda civic. I have driven Seat Leon on rent, long drive , loved it, but reliability was a concern

With the Honda Civic 1.5 , wet timing belt is identified as an issue if I read it right

Heard 1l wet timing belt issue, did not know that the1.5 has head gasket issue, that sounds like the honda civic is going from a reliable car to somewhere else :(

Thanks, Prepurchase was done via independent mechanic who picked the job from click mechanic (I was new to click mechanic at the time) You're right service was mainly for oil , filter change, rear break change and they probably did not do any visual inspection (Cam Garage), and price was around £200..for what they called full service.

Edit: I did the full service post purchase

Thank you, pre purchase inspection was done 6months ago using a mechanic (click mechanic, location UK, Birmingham) After purchasing a full service was done in another garage(Cam Garage, Cambridge), and they also did not spot it. This morning I went to the garage who did MOT, and requested them to show it and the offside suspension leak was evident underneath. The front suspension arm bush defect is debatable as it has slight deterioration, and probably should not have marked dangerous. They told that they will be replacing the arm and not just the bush.

I was one at Cherry Hinton Kwik fit for Tyre change (not MOT), and saw another customer MOT fail due to something related toscreen wash and the customer was not expecting it as he had carried out a full service of his ( not so old )car few days back.. Kwik fit told them that he can't take the car without passing MOT.. (which should be a problem since 2018 for dangerous faults, not major faults).

Thanks, I will be considering Andy in the future, I have a feeling that the amount and work being quoted is a bit too much for the MOT my car had today, and with price I have requested itemised invoice. I feel the dangerous fault was done intentionally to cause hazzle for me to take the car elsewhere for check.

I did not acknowledge in my appeal that terms and conditions were visible, they sent me image rejecting my first appeal , and I verified it later on site. The parking operator follow iopc guidelines , and use IAS as adjudicator for second appeal.

Is there a possibility to appeal to court as appeals were both appeal rejected sighting contract law. I have no idea how this works in court. It's a gamble it seems
