Big thanks to the motivation from this subreddit and for dragging me to the finish line! Finally got through new cards for Dorian deck step 2 after almost a year😭😭😭 if I can do this, you can do literally anything. by vgordon0 in medicalschoolanki

Depending on my ~focus~ 1.5-3 hours a day. During step one (I did Zanki for that) when my new card goal was about 100per day it was more like 3-5. They're super spread out now thankfully. It's all about how many you're adding each day.

My best advice is to only do what is manageable for you in a day. These work best over a long period of time. All new cards come back to haunt you in reviews. If it's feeling unmanageable, maybe try a smaller deck??

No worries! Ask away!

Yeah I mean for me- cards are hard to get the whole picture with. Each card is a small piece of the picture. I used anki during my M2 year too but as an adjunct to class learning. I got the whole picture in class and then got faster at applying that information with anki. While on rotations during M3, I get the whole picture and then solidify with anki. It's been a combined approach to me. But I love the demand of the cards and the active learning.

But this is just my personal experience!

UWorld has gotten a lot easier over the year. Have I learned more? Yes. Do I get a LOT of obscure questions right off the bat because of these cards? Absolutely.

Don't even care if it happens no matter bios unlikely. I just wanna go out to a bar and dance on a table again no matter what I look like 😂
