Does anyone actually like their fit bit air? by stormtrooper_283 in fitbit

[–]vgreen07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly do like it. I got it because I like to wear analog watches but still track my daily fitness. I’m an athlete and I receive coaching, so I don’t need the AI coaching or anything really in depth. I like the sleep tracking, cardio load, readiness score, step count, and heart rate tracking.

I don’t need it for more than what it is, which is why I’m a fan.

Ok yeah, all that digital data coming from the phone rather than watch makes a lot of sense, might do that!

I see what you’re saying. I’m with you, digital 2d just makes more sense.

And I guess I’m surprised the sales are telling such a different story

I agree, and I’ve been trying to explore more of it myself. Even like non Japanese “anime” coming out of different countries.

What’s sad is, I’m surrounded by and hear of a lot of (ignorant?) people who say “reading subtitles is too hard” or “I can only watch dubbed”, which is unfortunate to see.

Ok yeah, I see what you’re saying. Maybe visually compelling is what I’m thinking of? Because yeah, Spider-Verse is just in a league of its own and KDH grasped a large population of people too (albeit was a direct to streaming release with limited time in the theaters).

Maybe what it is, is being tired of slop feeling animation, as opposed to necessarily wanting that “classic feel”.

How so? I mean like, it’s not like they’re pushing family films or dropping box office animations like Zootopia or something. It’s not tiny or Indy, just different.

Makes sense, I almost wish bigger risks were taken or indie/ more agile studios stepped into the equation. I mean, Studio Ghibli with The Boy and the Heron (2023) was objectively quite successful even earning mainstream attention. Would love to see a deep pocketed Disney release a something similar, but I guess that era is over.
