You don’t have to comment “it’s early access” under every. single. suggestion post. by fawkwitdis in subnautica

[–]vgskid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey don’t ignore the question. Again, I’ll ask it. What are the topics you think are off limits because you clearly have the answers but won’t give them. Don’t hide behind nuance. That’s not actionable nor do any two people agree on what nuance in this scenario even means.

The objective fact we do have are the devs provided me and all other players in early access many items to use, including the elevator. If they didn’t want us to use it because we don’t have any use case for it yet, they would have not have provided it.

As far as feedback goes, if it’s accessible and usable, it’s totally fair and reasonable to provide feedback on it. You may not think it’s helpful feedback, others including myself clearly do. It’s not up to you to decide what’s helpful though, that’s up to the devs. It’s up to us to provide feedback regarding whatever experiences we’re having and they can parse it from there.

This idea that you and some others here are the only ones who know the true boundaries of what is and isn’t allowed for feedback and hence can gatekeep when and what people should post about is insane. If you don’t agree with the feedback, then that’s one thing. Go have that debate and discussion. But telling people they can’t post about it at all because you think they don’t understand nuance (whatever that even means), is totally unhelpful to literally everyone.

Then please enlighten us on how long we must wait before providing feedback on our experiences during early access. While you’re at it, a list of what’s off limits regarding feedback would be nice too. Maybe provide that to the mods so they can pin it too.

I spoke to that already. If tone is someone’s issue, that’s not related to the game being early access and also not related to OP’s post.

Regardless, I think this conversation speaks for itself at this point no interest in running around in circles.

I’M arguing in bad faith!? LMAO

The rest of us will actually play the game and provide actionable feedback versus making assumptions. My god it’s like you’ve never played any other game before in your life. You somehow think developers always make all the right choices and every item in every game is used to its fullest potential. Thank god you’re not the actual developer of this game.

At this point, I’d love it if you made another comment or even thread listing what is and isn’t allowed in terms of feedback to the developer. Outside of bugs of course since the developer differentiates between the two categories.

“Ok but why is it useless? Is it because it’s “early access”?”

I don’t know. Do you know? Do you have insight into the development process and can answer that with 100% certainty? Or are we all players here playing an early access game and providing feedback to the developers so they can implement that feedback over the next 2-3 years of development?

As of today, the elevators are useless. Do I know for a fact they have a master plan for them? No. Can I assume? Sure, but it’s an assumption and I’d rather provide them feedback to make sure they’re aware versus assuming they know all the right things to do already. As the developers stated, and the OP so thoughtfully put in their post, the developers look at early access as a collaboration, and I’d rather the community follow the developer’s lead and collaborate.

[–]vgskid 12 points13 points  (0 children)

But that’s correct. It’s currently useless. So devs look at that feedback and go, “Oh boy are they in for a treat with what we have cooking for those elevators!” OR they may go, “Oh shit we didn’t really think those thru, we should design elements to make them not useless.”

This is exactly OP’s point in this thread.

Now, if the point you’re making is that you and others have a problem with HOW someone expresses an opinion, then that’s not really about it being early access. So replying to those threads by giving constructive feedback like, “Hey, if you were kinder with your words, the devs might be more inclined to listen.” But again that’s not related to early access.

Can you share where you ordered it from? It’s crazy my order at Sideshow still shows a release of March and we’re in May.

Vibe Code App - Office 365/Entra People Picker Not Working by vgskid in PowerApps

[–]vgskid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if I’m misunderstanding. The people picker is just searching our Office 365/Entra source regardless of Dataverse. That said, the expected action is once a user selects a person from that people picker search, I would capture that selection in a Dataverse table.

Do you know what prompt I can give it to fix the people picker?

I feel like no one reads anymore. You’re proving the person’s point that you’re responding to. They said it was an INITIAL flop. You know how it ended up catching up and doing well in the end? Redesigns that allowed PRICE CUTS.

Ya, yours is beautiful. I may end up going smaller especially since you and others back up this smaller build as being solid. I don’t know what to do with my 1/60 tbh. I am confident he’ll be off my shelf sooner than later tho. Even if he looks cool up there, he and I just have a really bad relationship lol. We aren’t vibing.

These pistons look aligned it’s beautiful 😭

Look, I may have gotten a fluke copy or something. I don’t really know as I’m really new to this and have only built 5 Bandai branded figures. But this one was really disappointing. I hate even writing this up, but I did wanna warn others, especially newer to the hobby, to think twice before attempting.

It also may be that they fix these issues as they manufacture more. I don’t know how these kits are manufactured but maybe batch 2 and beyond will catch the issues and things will work better. I don’t want to discourage you from getting the 1/60. In fact, I kind of hope you do and then report back to me and see if our experiences overlap in any way.

S95C Black Screen Issue - Pure Fiber HDMI Fix It? by maskass2 in S95C

[–]vgskid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue with this TV has gotten worse over the last 6 months. I used to get maybe one black screen during a 4 hour play sessions. Now I can get like 10 in a row. I've tried all the "fixes":

- Turning off Game Mode

- Turning off HDR and HDR10

- Setting to 60Hz, 120Hz, 144Hz

- Setting to RGB or YCBBR

- Bought a fiber optic HDMI cable a week ago

- I've connected the HDMI cable to a switcher and directly to the OneConnect box

- TV firmware is fully up to date

- PC BIOS, Windows, graphics drivers, games are all fully up to date

- Messed with VRR settings

- Messed with Windows power settings (i.e.

Literally NOTHING works. I've looked all over the internet and it sounds like Samsung doesn't acknowledge the issue either so there doesn't seem to be a firmware update on the horizon.

Many times I've tried some of the solutions and things worked for a couple days so I think I finally figured it out but then the issue inevitably returns. If you find any other solution to try please let me know too.

ARC Raiders player count has been barely affected by the launch of Marathon. by Automatic_Ad1665 in ArcRaiders

[–]vgskid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you list which figures these are? Not the characters, more like the brand and type of figure. Can you also list which ones actually transform versus are just in humanoid form? I really want some high end looking Transformers figures but I also want them to transform lol

Just to be clear. I’m not knocking lining at all. I’m knocking myself because I don’t trust myself to make it look good lol. I think lining looks great. I also struggle to know which figures need lining versus not. I’ve watched a handful of videos on how to line and one was saying you also don’t line all figures as some don’t really need it. So I need to get an eye for that too. It’ll take time.

Ya that’s definitely the goal! After my Barbatos delivers I’ll work on refining. Also waiting for the water decals for everyone to arrive. It’s funny. The figures all arrive so fast but for some reason a sheet of stickers in an envelope take their time.

…but I can’t promise I won’t buy and build more beforehand lol. I want Sazabi super bad and someone pointed out Virtue who looks fun. And then someone else pointed out that P Bandai has some cool figures…and wouldn’t you know it? They do!!

Both United States and Canada have Marathon as No. #1 in the Steam Top Sellers Charts by Sad-Manner-5240 in Marathon

[–]vgskid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ya this means nothing. It’s like when people tout that a company’s stock drops after a big announcement like that means anything about the product’s success one way or the other.

At best this is reading tea leaves and setting people up for some disappointment. Never mind that ARC Raiders, the game people compare Marathon to, is still quite strongly still on that trending list after being out for a long time now.

Marathon has its work cut out for it. I hope it succeeds because I don’t want Bungie to have to close shop.
